He wondered if someone was watching him from behind but he was oddly reminded of his safety when he remembered the image that stood in front of the shrine. He stood at one spot for a while, hands down and eyes looking straightforward until he heard a voice that resembled Osisiakalaka's husky accent which was accompanied by strange sounds that pierced his right ear, almost deafening him. The sound faded as quickly as it had came. Again, he roamed around the empty shrine, diving into every nook and corner filled with divination materials and dead skulls of animals, searching for the source of the sound. He found nothing. In a bid to relay his disappointment, he frowned and left the shrine.

She stopped just short of the broken edge, shoes wet with spray, head tilted slightly as if listening to something beneath the noise. Cerebus surged forward, all three heads roaring—one at the water, one at the collapsing wall, one sweeping the crowd. Ellie drew the Blade of Bellerophon. A growl rumbled from the back of his throat, low, guttural, and quiet enough to tell Jayden that it wasn’t yet coming from malice. It was more of a warning. Fear flashed through Jayden’s eyes for a split second. Bash relished in the unpleasant emotion that was rolling off Jayden’s entire body. The same emotion Jayden had made Lilith feel just a few moments earlier. Bash was somehow pleased to get the same reaction out of Jayden. Jayden swiftly bared his neck into submission in front of Blaze. Bash used that ideal opportunity to swipe his claws at his neck to twist his head off his shoulders but Blaze held him back. Blaze forced himself to nod at Jayden before leaving the forest.

Crawley curled up his nose at his assailant. We saw Assad allowing him to slice his middle finger and dripped blood on the shard. It glowed in various colors in his hand. Crawley stepped away as the shard worked. In two seconds, that prismatic shard descended into Assad’s palm, vanishing. My stomach stiffened. “That can’t be good,” Blayne muttered with conceived vexation. “Shhh!” I shushed him.

But it also managed to hurt the snake’s face, because it recoiled back after the thunder hit it. “SSHHH SSHHH!!” It hissed loudly. It moved around for a few seconds, blinking its eyes, if it could be said like that. There was this rather transparent membrane in its eyes that helped it blink twice. It didn’t affect it whatsoever though, it was a flashbang like attack and it would render it blind for at least five seconds.

It looked like a Spore-Cloud. ​"It’s not digital, Aara," Thomas’s voice came through the Ravello vault, his tone hushed with a new kind of reverence. "The Guest at L1 just released a secondary vessel. It’s a Living-Shell a massive, translucent membrane filled with a bioluminescent fluid. It’s not a record of a dead world; it’s a Nursery."

A small, blue light began to pulse beneath the skin of his temple. The "Protector" wasn't just a shield. He was a bomb.

Bradley woke up, but I was invisible to him, he couldn’t hear me as I said his name or see me, even when I snapped my fingers in front of his face. All of a sudden, a bunch of animals came running towards him. Mostly reptiles, including one exceptionally large brown and tan colored rattlesnake, which slithered right through me as if I were a ghost and attacked Bradley, it enlarged in size, and it sunk its fangs into his neck and wrapped itself around his body.
