Blood Arrows Novels & Stories

I found the eyes that showed the image of marriage, and with all my strength I drew my Vulcan Bow and shot the arrow at it. A painful sound came. The eyes showed signs of pain, and the sky that surrounded me began to crack and crumble like the end of days. I did it. I took out a dagger and cut a hole in my arm to let the poisoned blood out, not to spread it all over my body. But my limbs still felt numb. I can't fall. An eagle hovered overhead, bellowed, and then dropped a white arrow. I remember it. It's an arrow made of vampire's bone.

I shoved Shaun forward, pushing him out of the way, but this put me where he had been standing, and before I could swiftly dodge, the arrow found its mark in the flesh of my shoulder. Wild, hot pain zipped through my brain, consuming my every thought. My legs wobbled underneath me, before crumbling like ruined ash and bringing me to my knees. A loud sound kept pouring into my ears over and over again. It was my screaming. The last thing that crossed my mind before the darkness was the thought of how a normal arrow shouldn't have hurt so much. — “ . . . Losing blood.” “ . . . Arrow was poisoned.” “Wolfsbane?” “They got away again, damn it!”

The attacker said. "Who are you? And what's your plan?" Deborah asked. "I am werewolves hunter and I am here to take you down before you ruin this country with your stupid policy. The vampires have done enough, ``he said. "And what makes you think? You can defeat us.. you can't even defeat her talkless of me" I replied. "Well with this weapon with me, you will dissolve into the air once it touches you" He replied, showing us the arrows. This must be the Arrows of the beast. It is dangerous.

"No, you are only a puppet in this grand scheme of mine, don't get all in over your head weakling." Carlo's cocky grin died down in an instant and his eyes fell to the ground. I turned back to Cora and my vision suddenly became blurry. I felt all the strength I had left in me slowly disappear. What was going on? My eyes went wide as I recalled the arrows that were still embedded in my body. I took them out and gazed at the tips. I noticed that each of them were coated with a purple glowing light. My eyes snapped to Cora and I glared at her through my blurry vision.

Another arrow lodges itself into my side and I grunt from the pain but until Scarlett’s light groan tells me she’s still alive, I acknowledge nothing. My fangs retreat and I watch as the skin that’s been torn to form holes on Scarlett’s skin reach for each other, and they stitch themselves. The next arrow that comes is stopped, caught directly in the grip of my palm. The budding heat of anger flows through me. An anger that has me seeing nothing but red. Gleaming scarlet red. A chilling heat spreads through my bones and I feel time slow itself as my eyes become filled with a light. A malevolent scarlet light.

One of the arrows grazed my arm, and I grabbed it, examining the wood. There was no silver at the tip, but the wood itself was the issue. It was made of Rowan wood. The one wood that could negate magic. They had come prepared indeed. I heard a scream, and turned just in time to see Saoirse collapse, an arrow sticking through her side. "Get her to the doctor," I ordered the man beside me as the Red Moon wolves howled in excitement, and they all surged forward. Now that the hail of arrows had finally stopped, my warriors tossed their shields aside, preparing to shift.

Nyra’s flames formed a curtain of heat. The arrows flew. They punched through our defenses like they weren’t even there. Wind scattered. Ice shattered. Flames parted. The arrows found their targets—thudding into flesh with wet, horrible sounds. Wolves dropped. A dozen at least, maybe more. They hit the ground convulsing, foam bubbling from their mouths. The poison worked fast, black veins spreading from the wounds across their bodies. “Get the wounded back!” Darca roared, but another round of arrows was already in the air.

They move too fast for human eyes, whistling with a sickening, high-pitched hiss. "Betty!" I scream, my legs already moving before my brain can process the trajectory. The first arrow takes her in the flank. The second punches straight through her shoulder blade with a wet, cracking impact. The third arrow, longer and heavier than the others, drives deep into the left side of her chest. Right through the ribs. Straight into her heart. A terrible, choked howl tears from April's throat. The silver fur around her chest erupts in dark, steaming crimson.

I retorted and began to walk ahead. I saw how the moon luminously shines above as it tries to lighten up my way, after a minute of walking on the moisten ground, I reached my destination and I witness how the springs of water overflow out of the river rocks. The excitement within me arises yet when I was about to walk near, my eyes widened in horror upon beholding a fire. The flames run through the branches and it turns everything into ashes. Torches were falling from the same direction and I hasten to grab my bow, and although my arm still aches, I bravely shot the location with my arrows.

The other option was that whoever fired the rifle wasn't experienced, hence the minor wound to their target but still didn't explain why the rifle was left. Lucas moved slowly, eyes dancing over the snow. Something else happened to make the shooter drop their weapon, but what? It was still unclear until he spotted where the blanket of ice had been disturbed. The way it was stamped down and cut up told of the struggle that had happened. Tiny red droplets marred the perfect whiteness like rubies on a blanket. The blood had frozen from the temperature. Gradually they grew bigger until they came to an end at a patch of smeared blood. Lucas crouched down onto his haunches, gloved finger tracing a
