I stepped inside the bathroom, whose door had been ajar and I froze almost immediately. There, sitting in the sink, was a roll of bandage. It looked like it had been hurriedly tossed there, part of it unraveling into the basin. But what stopped my breath wasn’t the mess, it was the color of the blood staining the cloth. Not red. Not even dark crimson. It was black. My chest tightened. The blood was dark, that means malicious magic. How come it didn’t turn dark yesterday when Lilith had checked it? My fingers trembled as I reached for it. The air in the bathroom suddenly felt heavy, suffocating. When I touched the dried bandage, a faint chill pulsed through my skin.

She had speak to him as they continued the test. “Two drop of the blue potion. Note that it is dangerously burning” he read out. She took it and sucked it in. She moved it the real potion but as she moved it. Some dropped on her hand. “Ah!” The boy exclaimed. She turned and stared at him, giving her a questioning look. The teacher ran to them, asking what the problem was. He took off Amy’s glove and showed her the injury on her hand but there was none. He was surprised. He stared at the dangerous blue potion and let go of her hand.

Something was definitely amiss. Blood!.

He finally asked me, pointing at my father, and I sighed. "Yet to figure it out," I said, and just then, Margret was wheeled in, unconscious. "What is the matter?" I asked the doctor that brought her in. "She has silver in her system like the king, and she has lost a lot of blood." the doctor said to me, rushing to sort things out quickly and stabilise my father's mate.

She nodded her head. I made a small slash at my wrists and watched my blood begin to pool around the wound. Arisa reached for my wrist gingerly. She slowly brought it to her lips and began drinking. A shudder passed through me as she drank my blood. A second later she pulled away. Her eyes had tints of red in them, proof of the bonding process.
