The Midnight Alpha

The Midnight Alpha

“Swear this bond is more than pride. More than desire. It is survival. For them, for the bloodline, for everything. Adrian nodded, swallowing hard. “For them. For the bloodline. For everything. With deliberate care, Samuel drew a dagger from beneath his coat, a ceremonial blade, etched with runes older than most civilizations. The steel glimmered in the fractured light of the ruined boardroom. He cut his palm, the blood welling in deep, vivid crimson. Adrian mirrored the action, slicing his own palm with trembling precision. For a moment, the room fell silent except for the distant shouts of the Purists outside. And then, with no hesitation, Samuel and Adrian pressed their bleeding hands tog

The Rogue Warrior

The Rogue Warrior

I asked her as she waved her arms and again King Lynol and I stepped through, only to return right back to the tower we were once in with Sam. Sam only looks at me for a second before he reaches past me to grab King Lynol around the neck. “You swore you wouldn’t let her get hurt.” He growled out. “SAM?!” I yelled, grabbing his hand. “SAM. Knock it off. Look at me, smell me. It isn’t my blood. Not a hair is displaced.” I said as he slowly returned his glance at me and slowly looked me up and down. Releasing King Lynol, Sam came over to me and began to nuzzle my neck and felt him relax as he realized that the smell of the blood was different than mine.

The Mark of Betrayal

The Mark of Betrayal

We need to shower first. Since I’m already naked, I help Samara get out of her clothes while we wait for the shower to warm up. When we step in, I gently push her under the spray of water. She doesn’t have as much blood on her as I do, but severing arteries causes blood to spray and her neck and the lower part of her face are splattered with Althea’s blood. “Do you think she killed my mother?” she asks, looking up at me with haunted eyes.

Author Cooper is a phenomenal author and once again this book does not disappoint... I am once again hooked from the first page... it's a page turner and each chapter is better than the last .. I'm so excited for the next chapter .. I just know it's going to be everything and more ..
Purrrple
Gonna give this a try solely bc of the comments lol! I find myself now viewing an authors other completed work to see how many chapters bc now a days REALLY GOOD stories go bad bc they are boringly or badly drawn out and are now simply just money guzzlers.

Bereaved and Bloodthirsty

Bereaved and Bloodthirsty

I grabbed the hem of Felix's shirt, fixed a pitiful expression on my face, and mumbled, "I believe you, Felix." Felix's expression softened as he helped me back to my feet. Taking advantage of the fact that the other wolves' attention was still on us, I retrieved a document from my bag and handed it to Felix. "I accidentally recorded your pup's blood type as AB when I registered his information last time. The truth is, his blood type is O." Felix's face twisted as he snatched the document from me. An eerie silence descended upon the hall. Everyone knew that all the wolves of the Blackrock pack had type-AB blood, making it impossible for a pup with type-O blood to exist in the pack.

Her Blood

Her Blood

The sun is shining. "Isn't she your girl?" Huh? Who? Me? My mind asked that because of confusion. “Yes. He is the one our schoolmates are talking about. They said they couldn't smell her blood so they didn't know if she is vampire blood or not," "Really?!" “Yes. And even if you smell the air, you won't smell anything from her except her perfume," "That's weird," "Bro, I didn't smell anything on her except her perfume," "Me too, I didn't smell her blood,"

Blue Blood

*** Another doctor holding two test tubes with blood samples in them, walked into Doctor Smith’s office. “Doctor Smith, Your attention is needed in th—” She staggered and dropped the samples, the test tubes breaking and the blood leaking out. She held the table in support because she couldn’t believe what she was seeing. Just at the corner of the office lay the victim unmoving and quiet in a desperate position. She couldn’t help but scream and in less than 1 minute, doctors and nurses were piling into the office in concern.

THE BLOODY HUNT

THE BLOODY HUNT

With my trembling hands, I grabbed the handle of the door, and it had just opened when Bell's scream froze us. I furrowed my eyebrows and turned back only to see her pale face with widened eyes. She covered her mouth with her hands and panicked. We followed her gaze and stared at the sink. The sight I saw sent chills down my spine. Blood was flowing instead of water from the tap, which had blown us all away. I choked in the air as she showed us the blood across her lips. "I told you, Bell. But still, you didn't listen to me."
