Denver’s chanting grew louder, more frantic as he spat the words out one at a time. Fear was a fog that filled the air, cloying as it sat heavily in our lungs. Denver shouted the final verse, and I knew in my bones that it was too late. “Te invoco a profundus inferni!” The candles flickered out, plunging us into darkness, only for half of them to suddenly reignite.

I am immortal now!” The car didn’t shake under the storm since Asphalt was holding it in place with his powers. Asphalt smirked, “A few witch's souls into your system can’t defeat one of the strongest Demons of Hell.” Castiel growled in anger, and blast! I covered my face with my arm. A huge explosion led to the death of numerous of our wolves on the right. I looked at my back, where the tornado was quickly growing, and saw flames of yellow and purple clash with each other.

"Dragon Blood!" Eden happily grabbed the box on the table and quickly opened it to see what was inside. "It's Dragon Blood powders, fresh produce is hard to come by these days, and it's expensive. God damn the Somdet and their embargo, the filthy bastards, the filthy sprayers..." Eden cursed that the butterfly fairies had learned those swearings from here and nowhere.

As I fell into danger, Jake put up a fight, his limbs ripping. Despite being drenched in blood, he bolted toward me and pounded my attacker on the head. Blood spilled all over the concrete floor, either coming from Jake or the rogue. Anna let out a shriek. It was total mayhem. “Joey!” Anna shouted. Through the madness, a massive black wolf came charging from a distance with incredible speed. I knew that it was Joey, my aloof mate. It never crossed my mind that Joey had shared a mind link with Anna.

“Show yourself!” A shadow moves behind him. A hand bursts from the ivy and grabs the gun. The weapon twists and the butt smashes into Sergei’s nose. Blood gushes as he stumbles back, howling. Then I see him. Diablo steps out of the darkness like a ghost from a nightmare, his black suit blending into the night. His face is calm, too calm, but his eyes are blazing. He points the gun at Sergei, his voice cold. “Too easy.”

DEX A heartbeat runs through me, painful at first, like something inside me has cracked open. Then, that pain spreads and changes, flooding every vein in my body with fire. It burns, but it heals too, like lava surging through me. Every pulse carries both agony and exhilaration until I can’t contain it anymore. My lips part, and a deep, wild howl tears out of my chest. It echoes across the battlefield, carrying through the air until it reaches every mind and heart within the Silver Crescent Pack.

Those memories became my anchor, my reason to fight. I poured every ounce of strength I had into the final incantation, my voice breaking as I screamed the last words. The bowl shattered, sending shards flying through the air. The mingled blood burst into flame, casting a searing light that blinded me. Pain unlike anything I had ever known ripped through me, a white-hot agony that felt like my very soul was being torn apart. I screamed, the sound raw and primal, as the energy consumed me. The ground split open beneath the altar, a gaping maw of darkness threatening to swallow me whole. My body convulsed, my vision blurring, but I refused to let go.
