I snorted, not deigning to reply to his insult. Mane had always been envious of my hybrid blood, and he never hesitated to show it.
"You're just a coward," he continued, his voice dripping with disdain. "A half-breed who can't even control his own powers."
I paused, my patience wearing thin. "Watch your tongue, Mane. I won't hesitate to put you in your place."
"Oh, I'm shaking in my boots," Mane's smile widened, his eyes cold and calculating. “You're nothing but a weakling, Dregen. A pathetic excuse for a vampire."
