I slide it skillfully into my bag before turning to my first customer of the day. "Hey Sage, what are your rates on Ms. Fosters English Lit paper?" Say the Blond, 6'4 mammoth of a "person" standing next to me. I look him up and down before pushing my glasses up my nose. Caleb Anders. Wolfshifter. I resist the urge to take a step back as his green eyes look down on my own. "Depends on what grade you're looking for." I respond flipping to the front of the folder where I keep all the English papers, thankful that it gives me a reason to break eye contact.

But I just could not help it any longer, being face to face with a wolf had everything flooding into my brain, and I wanted to scream my lungs out. Blood. It was blood that I saw. My parents' blood, spilled on the wooden floor around their heads. I saw their lifeless eyes and still bodies, and wounded faces. I saw my eleven year old self crying and screaming for them to wake up and look at me again, to call me their baby again. But that did not happen, it never happened. And I saw the people that had done that to them, their smug faces and crooked smirks, their hands stained with the blood of my parents, and the set of tattoos on one of their forearms.

They collapsed heavily to the floor in defeat. Mom urged coldly, "Make them sign the papers and throw them out. They won't take a single thing from the Weatherby family." Immediately, some men stepped forward to pin them down and force them to sign. Faced with the end of their life of wealth and privilege, they fought and struggled like crazy. I couldn't stand watching them any longer. So, I took the knife from Mom and tossed it in front of them. I gave a chilling suggestion. "If they won't sign, their fingerprints will do. Their blood will make a fine ink for stamping their fingerprints."

“Like this?” “Better,” Sophia said, snapping photos. “Now laugh at something he says” Adrian turned to Lina. “Say something light.” Lina thought for a second. “Remember when Maria burned the toast last week? You looked so annoyed I almost laughed out loud.” Adrian’s mouth twitched slightly. “I don’t get annoyed. I get efficient.” Lina let out a small, genuine laugh. “Efficient. That’s one way to put it.” Sophia kept shooting. “Perfect. That looked real. One more set where you’re looking at each other.”

At first, I thought she was timid and would probably get her petite self eaten in that classroom full of hungry sharks, but she proved herself and she proved me wrong. "Before I begin, I'd like to ask a question. Debby, when you hear the tale of Dordin, what do you think of?" Oh, no! She didn't. "Um, Tyler Durden?" The class burst into laughter. "What's that?" Mrs. Grassroots asked, amusement twinkling in her eyes. "It's not a what, it's a who." I corrected, not having any of their ignorance. "Boooooooo," "You maggots seriously haven't seen the narrator movie or Pursuit of Happiness, even Fight Club 3?" I asked, surprised at their lack of ‘knowledge’.

The manager was on his feet too, pointing at the beggar and persuading, "Last chance, old man. Leave, or we'll make you." The beggar growled coolly, "Then let's see what you can do." The manager smirked. "You really don't know your place. Get him, boys!" While the bouncers charged at the beggar without hesitation, they did not expect the beggar to be a martial elite, flooring them each with just one punch! The manager was endlessly flabbergasted—was the beggar actually some sort of super hermit?! And with that, the beggar strode up, clapping him on the shoulder and ignoring his look of disbelief as he strode in the nightclub.

Knowing he could see through the future, she felt relieved to know that all of them, though scathed, came out alive. It was until she’d seen the next ball of smoke filming an alternative that her smile faltered. In there, she was boiling inside the tube, the rest of the League murdered right before her eyes, and Violet being raped by not only the president but by three other men as well. “There are only five seconds. The first one would be possible,” she whispered, sliding down the ground, gasping as her bottom hit its coldness. Breathing heavily, she turned to look beside her and saw a bloody dagger lying still.

It's impossible to miss them as their outfit is nearly close to being naked. My eyes widened as I realized that the two people were the same actors who had just performed on stage and that they were expressing their heartfelt appreciation by simply bowing to us as we left. There was no sign of a scratch on the young lady's face and body. The Nanogex injection, of course, and they must have a blood bag ready for her type in the back. We got in the car, and I suddenly felt very tired from all the emotions I experienced in so little time.

The impact hurt, my shoulder blades immediately began to ache. Instinctively my knee came straight up, directly into his groin. He let go and backed away, hunched in pain. “Fucking bitch!” He yelped out, but he didn't retaliate back, which was unlike him. He glared for half a moment before taking off. “What the hell just happened?” I asked Lily. Pat interjected. “Mom's been trying her hardest to help him. It's slow progress, as you can see, but she really is trying. I'm honestly surprised he didn't go through with it.” This time, Pat did smile. “I'm also glad.”

“Did the human take too much, or did we offer too much? Tell me, which one of you two imbeciles caused this annoying predicament?” The guy behind me could only stammer, it was the other one who managed to speak up. “We didn’t offer too much per se, my lord. He went to several of us in a short time so we couldn’t check quick enough if he had taken out a loan already. Also he stole from us as well…” This caught the attention of Dimitri. “A beggar and a thief,” He mused. In a split second he crossed the room and held the matter by his throat in the air.
