Okay… so… dying hurts. A lot. Would not recommend. Two stars, maybe three if you like drama. One minute, I was in my tiny apartment, living my glamorous life (read: eating instant noodles, wearing fuzzy socks with holes, and binge-reading my favorite fantasy romance), and the next… everything went dark. Not the normal “I closed my eyes for a nap” dark. I’m talking cold, endless, suffocating nothing. Like the universe itself pulled a blanket over me and whispered, “Shh. Time to be done.”

I paid the fare with the loose change left in my pocket, then walked toward the seat at the very back. I sat by the window. The bus started moving, leaving the pier area. The view outside the window changed from rows of old warehouses to the vast beach scenery of Meridian City. The seawater stretched out in the distance, but I couldn't enjoy it. My mind was only filled with anxiety about where I would sleep tonight. Yael's money in my pocket felt heavier with every second. It was capital I had to protect with my life.

The Blood Moon hung low, a red sentinel over a world trembling on the edge of annihilation. Shadows and light danced violently across the ruins of the battlefield, cities crumbling into nothingness as time itself fractured. I could feel the Abyss inside me, alive and pulsing, trying to overwrite everything every memory, every heartbeat, every choice I had ever made.

She sat down on the couch and put her feet on it as well. 'Do you want to watch a movie?' 'Yes. A comedy, please.' She replied. 'Okay.' I grabbed a movie and sat down next to her. I pulled her feet in my lap and she blushed bright pink. We silently watched the movie and ate some popcorn. The movie was about some crazy man who fucked up everything. It was on hell of a shit movie. But Grace liked it, so I didn't say anything about it. The movie was finished and Grace was sleeping on the couch. I picked her up bridal style and carried her to her room. She stirred as I laid her down on the bed and pulled the blanket over her.

No matter how hard I tried to put it back together… my sister was never coming back. Jenny then lifted her foot, her sharp heel pressing hard on the back of my hand. The shards dug into my skin. In an instant, blood stained the broken fragments. The pain was intense, but I let it deepen, almost as if I wanted to feel it like a form of self-punishment. Cynthia's death must have been a thousand times worse than this. At this moment, I finally saw my seven-year relationship for how it really was. My voice was hoarse and icy as I asked, "What proof do you have to accuse Cynthia of taking the USB drive?"

Someone, probably Baron, left a blood bag on my pillow. I usually don’t drink unknown blood, but I’m starving and the painful thirst reminding me that I haven’t fed yet is driving me insane. I tear the bag open and bring it to my nose. Grimacing and shaking my head, I get up and empty the bag in the bathroom sink. I can smell the human disease in the blood – Typhoid. It won’t harm me, but it makes the blood bitter. I pull on a pair of joggers and a sweater and lie on the soft, comfortable bed, listening to the house settle down and gradually go quiet. The only sound is the footsteps of Baron’s patrolling wolves. No doubt, he has a few wolf guards on Simone’s door.

Jake, being the most impulsive, rushed up to me and raised his hand to slap me. "How did Grace fall? Did you push her?" However, the slap never landed on my face as Ethan had blocked it firmly. He exercised regularly, so he was tall and strong. He caught Jake's wrist with an iron grip. Ms. Weber looked sternly at my parents, her sharp gaze seeming to condemn them as unqualified to be parents. "I saw this young lady fall on her own. How could you hit Wendy without any evidence? Especially Ellen, who was screaming hysterically because her lover was being killed right in front of her, she screamed until her body trembled when Dr. Drake's body, slowly fell to the floor with a gaping wound on his chest and a corpse covered in blood, while Arabella looked at him with a cynical smile filled with satisfaction. "Ready?" he asked. "As I'll ever be." The screen flickered. Only one file appeared. VIDEO_001. Neither of us spoke, brooks clicked it. Static filled the screen and then the picture slowly became clear. It looked like security camera footage. Dark and grainy with the time stamp missing as a woman appeared on the screen, she was running barefoot and was obviously terrified. She kept looking behind her as though someone was chasing her.
