Dozens of my armed guards swarmed the room like a pack of wolves, tackling the shooter to the ground and beating him mercilessly. But I couldn't care less about the shooter. My heart stopped beating completely as I looked down. Mary was clutching her upper collarbone. Crimson blood rapidly soaked the pristine white fabric of her dress, blossoming like a terrifying red rose. Her eyes fluttered, her body going entirely limp in my arms. The world around me shattered into a million pieces. "MARYYYYY!!!!" My agonizing, earth-shattering roar tore through the chaos, echoing with the raw terror of a man watching his entire universe collapse.

"The baby... something’s wrong." "Is it?" Martha asked, tilting her head. "Or is he just eager to meet his new mother?" "What did you do?" Sarah screamed, the sound echoing through the hollow house. "The tea... I didn't even drink the tea!" "I didn't need the tea," Martha said, standing over her like a shadow. "I’ve spent ten years learning things, Sarah. Dark things. Things found in the basements of grief. You think I wanted you to suffer? No. I wanted you to bloom. I wanted you to be the perfect vessel for what was stolen from me."

Her hair was loose, cascading over her face as she stared out the window—the same one that had been broken last night, now covered with wooden boards. Kimberly studied her carefully. "How are you feeling?" Martha smiled faintly. "Better. Just… a little shaken. I don’t remember much after the scream." Kimberly moved closer. "That’s understandable. But if there’s anything you do remember—any sound, scent, anything unusual—it could help." Martha looked down at her hands. "I wish I could help. It was just… darkness and fear." Her voice cracked slightly. Too perfectly timed.

Mary scolded. “707…Shemika is in room 707…” he blurted out in fear, his voice cracked as he spoke. Mary let out a deadly smirk as her lips curled into something dangerous, a destructive smile that made her look like a disney witch. She turned and glanced at me sharply, her eyes shimmered with triumph. I squeezed my eyes shut in disappointment…I'm so gonna kill Dom today. How could he not realize that Mary was about to go and cause trouble? I bet Dom deserved to be hanged to death.
