The butterfly started flying around the place out of the blue while making a beautiful moment. "Wow!" Jenny sounded while looking at the butterflies. It's actually a firefly. The fireflies are around the place, hanging on the plants. It's already evening—the place became dark, but as the fireflies started to occur in the place, the shine began. The yellow light started appearing around the place as the fireflies were moving from here to there. "Oh my goodness!" Jenny sounded while placing her hand on her mouth.

I took in a deep breath as I relaxed on the ground near a tree trunk, what was really going on, maybe before it was just guesswork, but right now, it was different, I could feel it, something was not right, it hurts me to say but mum was pretty suspicious too, maybe I should try getting to the root of all these too. I turned over when some fireflies flew towards my direction, maybe five or six, they were in constant movement so I couldn’t count, but that’s strange, fireflies are night creatures and it was barely night, well this town is strange enough so this can be just as normal as the werewolves are. Suddenly, the sound of fireworks could be heard coming from outside, and seconds later, the light from the fireworks flooded into the room. Zeke pointed at the spectacular show. "Speak of the devil! This is what I'm talking about. Let's go and watch it together!" Everyone got up from the table and followed Zeke to the balcony. One firework after another burst forth into the dark sky before exploding in a shower of light. What was special about this firework was it was blue instead of the usual colors found in the market. The blue flame did not reach my skin but my dress and the flower I was holding eventually turned black. She still marveled at how the builders managed to hide so much machinery beneath something that looked so organic. She wished she understood how everything in the Middle worked. Guy, easily the nerdiest of her friends, had once tried to explain the science behind bioluminescence. I turned to Kairos in awe. “What are those?” I asked, pointing at a pair of spiraling, jellyfish-like beings with brilliant red tendrils that pulsed gently in the current. “Those are flamebells,” he replied with a smile. “They only come out this deep, and only when the water is calm. They’re harmless... but incredibly rare.” Everything was quiet here, except for the distant song of the current and the gentle thrum of life around us. There was peace in the deep, and a stillness I hadn’t realized I’d needed.
