I excused myself and went to the kitchen with some lame excuse, I didn't want them to notice my weird behavior. I dragged my feet to the sink, I opened the tap and put my shaking hands under the cold water. 'Everything is fine' I kept chanting to myself. Suddenly my heart started beating fast and loud as if it was ready to jump out of my ribcage at any moment now. My breathing was kind of rugged and my head was spinning. The shaking in my hands spread to my legs too. Something is wrong.

I feel a tiny tingle in my legs, making my heart beat a little faster. As she pushes me further into the room, I wait for her to step back, and she places her hands on her hips. Amusement flashes across her face. "I'm here now.” For a second, fear creeps in. What if I fall? What if I end up disgracing myself? I swallow hard and slowly push myself up on shaky legs, my entire body trembling. I grab the table to steady myself. My legs shake beneath me, every muscle strained with effort. A sharp pain shoots through my legs, but I grit my teeth and remain standing.

So, I close mine. A booted foot sweeps my legs out from under me. Hands shove me down to the floor. I kick and bite anything within my reach. I lunge upwards only to be shoved back down onto the floor. The breath in my lung vacates my body. The impact between my head and floor have black spots crowding my vision.

My cheeks flushed and hurt so hard as blood surged into everywhere he touched. It was like something inside me was coming alive. I reacted reflexively and pushed back on his chest to free myself. Surprisingly, he let go. I staggered back before regaining my balance. He gave me a warm charming smile. I averted my gaze again as my cheeks hurt. Why was I blushing? I cleared my throat nosily once again. The hall suddenly felt hot and I fanned myself with both hands and blew air out of my mouth. “If what you say is true –”

He blushed and nodded, looking up into my eyes. "I'm really trying not to step on you," he admitted and laughed a little. "It is getting a little easier for me...." "Stop focusing on your feet," I tsked. He frowned. "Isn't that why we're doing this?" He asked me and then sighed. "I can try," he mumbled and then watched me, letting me lead him. I suddenly heard music start, my brother playing a violin for us as we danced. "Listen to the music and forget about your feet. Soon enough you won't have to even worry about stepping on my feet." He blushed and then nodded.

It's an excuse. "What's hot? Is your air conditioner on, it's still cold inside, how can it be hot? You're just excited, so you're blushing? Am I right?" I asked him and poked his waist. "N-no, honey! Don't be naughty, I'm driving, we might crash," he said to me. I burst out laughing when his blush still didn't really go away. "Gosh, you're just blushing, it means you're excited. Kiss that cheek, honey. How about the lips? You might not be able to breathe because you're so excited," I teased him.

My heart wouldn’t stop racing. My cheeks burned, so I lightly slapped myself. “Gianna! Pull yourself together!” I whispered, stomping my foot.

I stammer, feeling a blush creep up my cheeks. He turns back to me, a mischievous twinkle in his eyes. "Oh, so now you want to join me?" he teases, pulling me closer to him. I giggle nervously, feeling a surge of excitement mixed with embarrassment. "Well, I guess I could dip my toes in," I say, tentatively dipping one foot into the water.
