AUTHOR’S POV: Carson walked angrily as he headed to his house, he could feel eyes on him but he didn’t care. For someone that old he looked very young and handsome with a blonde, a very muscular body complemented his look, he stood tall about 6’7, and had the sexiest body stature ever. It was a pity he didn’t have a mate though every female species even some males would do anything to lay on his bed and whoever did always wished to go back, especially Sonia {she is in charge of female affairs across the paranormal world}.

“I never corrected you because both pronunciations are accurate. Sigourney calls my name with an accent of her own and you do the same. No corrections needed.” Joslyn inhaled deeply, wondering if she'd woken up on more than the wrong side of the bed today or perhaps, coming home had been a mistake. Ron's friend the one who had dark blonde hair says and I freeze on spot. "You are wasting money on her, shouldn't you be adding that money on the money you give me?" Ron says and I try to keep my cool so he won't take this whole thing seriously.

It makes me wonder who the hell would come here this early in the morning and why they’re being so demanding. I rush downstairs to find Oliver behind the door and when he opens it, two large men stand glaring at him. “The doorbell is just as effective, you know,” he says sarcastically. “We’re looking for a lady named Bella,” one of them says ignoring his tone, while the other peaks into the house over Oliver’s shoulder. My heart skips as his eyes land on me.

Tears streamed down Blaire’s face as she listened, her heart aching at his sincerity. “I want to be with you, Blaire,” Damien continued. “I want to be a father to our daughter, a husband to you. I want us to be a family. Will you marry me?” Blaire was silent for a moment, her emotions overwhelming her. Then, with a trembling smile, she nodded. “Yes, Damien. It was war smelling the mate bond. I thought the bond was dead. “You smell like power now,” he growled. “Like storms and the moonlight. What really happened to you?” I stood tall, refusing to hide my body. “I survived. I was what you tried to kill.” Damon’s jaw dropped. Anna started, her tone cautious but curious, "how did you meet Damon? And what exactly is your relationship with him? You’re the only decent person I see around this dark world of his, so I’m confused." Bonnie smiled faintly, leaning against the nearby table. "Damon and I go way back. He saved my life once, and I’ve been loyal to him ever since." Anna frowned, studying Bonnie closely. "Saved your life? How?" Bonnie’s eyes flickered with a hint of pain, but she masked it quickly. "That’s a story for another time," she said softly. "But Damon isn’t as heartless as he seems. He has his reasons for what he does, even if they’re buried under layers of darkness."
