Seeing the fallen book, I leaned forward to pick it up. It wasn’t a learning material but a novel. It seems like it wasn’t written on the cover. “Anyways, it sounds interesting. Let me just have a sneak peek.” I hurriedly find a secluded corner to sit in. Instead, I would be grounded for a month rather than get nightmares for a year. There was dust on it. The particles made me cough as I blew to brush it off, only to inhale. I read the title as if it was in an ancient language. "Amihan," I whisper in the ancient tongue, pronouncing the word. It wasn't hard. Nay taught me a few letters of the ancient language, so reading the title of this book came in handy. Now here comes the fun part. I open the book to the first page and read the passage.

Even pushing together, we can't move the rock. The goblins are too close now. Within a matter of seconds, they'll be on us. Closing my eyes, I take a deep breath. There it is. The tiny flicker inside of me. Focusing on it, I let it grow ... and then I unleash it. The rock rolls down the hill and hits the first goblin. It screams as it's knocked off its feet and tumbles down the rocky terrain. The rock hits a couple more goblins, and the sight is gruesome. They definitely won't be getting back up. The rest of their buddies shriek in terror and back away, knowing they're in for something similar.

“Yes sir!” the men replied. Once more, Zephyr laid his eyes on the books, his gaze rested on one of them. The book was covered in a layer of dust and was made of bamboo. It looked unique. “Thunderfoot?” Zephyr muttered as he opened the book, reading its contents. A wave of excitement washed over him. He excitedly flipped through the pages, carefully memorizing the technique’s intricate steps.

Was the secret hidden in the words? Kiran quickly opened the first book he read yesterday. It was no. 7 of the first edition, and it was the one Margaret gave him. Everything was the same when he read up until page 7, but when he flipped to page 17, he was shocked to find out that the seventh word in the seventh line was the word ‘nine’, whereas the other edition and Yvonne’s edition had the word ‘sky’. Kiran seemed to have found the secret combination. He quickly looked at Mr. Simmon’s poisoned book, and according to his calculations, he flipped to page 557. The seventh line had the word ‘steal’ in it, but the other two books had the word ‘smile’.

I sit out there for a while , enjoying the peace of being alone. At this moment , all I ever want is to be alone. I would often feel my stomach kick me with hunger , as my nose smelt the food that was cooking but I easily turned my attention back to the burning kingdom.
