She still had yet to learn her manners, but she would. He would be damn sure of that. He walked over to her and snatched the book from her hands. Her mind seethed at her because he was unsuitable in every way, yet her heart wanted to find him this very instant. A sharp knock at the door made both jump, Sophie went to answer it and Athena heard a quiet, “Yes Sir…much better now…I will”. Returning to the comfort of the fire and chairs Sophie handed her a book tied with a ruby ribbon. Oh crumbs the feeling was so harsh against her throat and her tongue seemed to burn. Truthfully it tasted like boiled vomit to her and yet Cassie was taking it like water.. However after a few minutes the feeling of boiled vomit lasted and it felt like refreshing to her tummy and strangely she craved more and more which earned her a high five from Cassie. Then he bent down and rummaged through his turtle shell backpack, pulling out a gaudily covered book. He stuffed it into Yosef's hands. "My sister will come to pick me up later, could you read me a novel first?" Yosef looked down at the novel handed to him. The gaudy cover featured a strange title—"Cold CEO's Ninety-Nine Days of Wife-Chasing: Sweetheart, Don't Run." He frowned; Is this novel suitable for kids? Looking at the author's name again, Godber. Just from the name, it felt like this person lacked talent.

There seemed to be a tacit understanding between the two about the whole matter which need not be spoken aloud. Some things were better left unsaid anyway. “Lunch is ready!” Melissa said as she opened the door. “Come on!” Both Princess Katherine and Lord Benjamin followed Melissa to the kitchen, wondering what dishes had she cooked. What greeted them was an array of weird-looking dishes, which they had never seen before. “Melissa, what is this dish?” Princess Katherine asked. “This is called a hotpot. Well, technically, we lack of some things but I adjusted it using whatever we have. Please try it. This pot contains spicy stew and this is not spicy.”

Her warm breath brushed against my ear as she whispered, "Curtis, I'd have to test it out to know whether it's to my taste." Her hand slid down from my Adam's apple, eventually resting on my belt. She looked pleased. "Hmm... not bad." It suddenly clicked in my mind. This private chef job was about more than just cooking. I was the one being served, in a way I hadn't expected. I had seen people promoting their adult services online, and I had also seen job posts about private chefs, where a couple would usually show up to do actual cooking. I never expected to fall victim to this "false advertisement".

I felt the warmth of a lone tear escape my eye and leaving its trail all the way to my hairline as my eyes wavered and my eyelids closed when the last breath left my mouth.
