My hand flipped the page slowly, I was now in the part where things were really heated and the last thing I wanted was Blake to tear my mind away from it. I tried to focus on the words. I really did. But before I could even finish reading a sentence, Blake reached forward, grabbed the book from my hand, and threw it across the room. The sound of the book hitting the floor echoed. And my heart lurched fast into my chest. That book cost fucking lots of dollars.

She started doing some enchantments but I quickly recovered from my shock and summoned a ball of red smoke and stopped her. I held her with one hand while the other hand summoned the Book of the Damned. It flipped on its own accord and opened a page that I’d never seen before. I wasn’t sure what it was about but Blair saw it and for the first time ever, there was genuine fear in her eyes as she whispered softly, “No.”

I sigh again, “It’s going to be a long night.” As I sit up straight to close the doors, a scream tears out of my throat when the looming shadow at the balcony doesn’t budge.

He asked pointing at a book. "It's a book I stole a long time ago from the vampire royal library." Nichole responded. "I felt the head of the queen's guard should know about her absolute enemy. I'll leave it for you all to read it. Since the last Blue Moon wolf was born I have collected a lot of things to fight that blood-sucking bastard." She said with such fury I swore I saw heat radiate from her. "Thank you, Nichole." I said sitting up. "No need for thanks. I treasure your existence as much as Selene does. It is my duty as her closest friend." She said with a bow and left the office.

Mira was just stunned by his behaviour. "What took you so long?" Yang who was waiting for him downstairs asked when he saw him. Damon shook his head while tucking his gun in the waistband. Yang noticed that something was wrong. He looked up towards his room and saw Mira coming out of his room. His eyebrows raised in shock and he followed Damon out. "Damon, what's happening?" Damon closed his eyes frustrated and ran fingers through his hair. "I burnt Mira's book which her dead husband gave her."
