Head pounding, stomach rumbling Elinda Milburn tried to open her eyes. She sat, her eyes still closed, and she had to sleep again because her head was spinning. "What is wrong with me?" She asked herself as she massaged her head. Slowly, she opened her eyes and looked around. It was so dark that, for a moment, she thought that maybe she had gone blind. It took a few minutes for her to recall what had happened earlier. "Am I dead?" she asked herself. "Am I not supposed to be in heaven?" "Why is it so dark in here, or is it that I am in hell?" She screamed inwardly, looking around her in fright.

The black pen in his hand cracked a little further. "I lost." The little girl shook her head. "No." "Both of you did." Silence settled over the library once more. Suddenly... one of the floating books slammed shut. Then another. Then hundreds. Within seconds... millions of books began closing one after another. Boom. Boom. Boom. The sound echoed endlessly through the impossible library. Adrian looked around. "What's happening?" The White Book answered by opening once more. This time... it showed a map. Not of worlds.

"A writer, how inspiring! What do you write?" "Books." I deadpanned from behind mom, earning an annoyed cluck of her tongue. Blondie smiled awkwardly. "Ah, yes, I see. A- anything you'd recommend?" "Actually, yes. I think my latest work, From Beyond The Grave, would be the perfect read for you. Tons of bloodshed and cannibalism, there's even a chapter where the protagonist has to disembowel her own friend to-" "Uh, could we trouble you for some waters, dear?" Mom cut in, her voice on the edge between friendly and collected and right about to lose her shit.

AMELIA “I can’t believe it didn’t work,” I grunted in anger as I stabbed the sword into the book, and it did nothing. “It’s empty now, but a piece of useless old shit.” The book was around four inches thick. The hardcover seemed to be made of animal skin. The smell was like an old rotten dead rat. I was expecting suggestions, but everyone’s mouth was shut this time. “Really?” My eyes narrowed at them. “Now I need your unsolicited advice and you’ve got nothing. You, Theia. You’re very opinionated. What do you have in mind?”

Over forty-two. How many people come in here? Returning to the base, I count the desks. One after the other. A grin spreads on my face. My heart beats gently as my mind goes numb to my pain. I focus on counting the tables and chairs. I smile harder as I get to the last desk. Satisfied. Spinning around to start again, I halt as an old brown cover catches my attention. Familiar. Sitting on a short shelf behind the last desk. I tug it out—my jaw drops to the floor as I go stunned. Something is wrong with my brain and eyes. The water has done damage to them. Because why is my medical book before me?

Oh, well, and the second, I kind of didn't pay attention in my classes today and I might have been absent-minded at work, stealing some time to myself to read and complete the second book breezily. The third and last book was the most complicated because of how high the stakes were, and let's not forget the numerous mind-fucks and plot twists. It was compelling, addictive and thought-provoking. "I must be boring you to death then," the proximity between my face and her mouth was sudden, eliciting a shriek from me. "Iris!" I snapped, sitting up. Her flawlessly made-up face had me furrowing my brows a little. She was all glammed like she had somewhere to be.

It certainly deserves the title of 'best'. Why does Cryx have this? Well, it is a really good book, so why should I be surprised? Eh? "What's this?" I mumbled and put my Aunt's book down. The other book was all read, there were no words written on it to indicate what kind of book it was, all I know was that it was thick. I slowly grasped the book and opened the book. "Holy banana!" I shrieked and threw the book as far as possible. It was a you know what kind of book! I need bleach! Holy water! I want to unsee this madness!

It was like someone had cleared out every single book in the library. I gaped, blinking in surprise, "What the_" Before I could finish talking, there was a clanging sound and the dome above suddenly started to open up. I glanced up in shock as the eclipsed moon was revealed. And that was when I felt it. "Oh goddess, no!" I cried, racing forward to shut the heavy library doors. I screamed when the first bone cracked. No no no.

My reasoning is because I was focusing on finishing off high school, had to deal with graduation and family matters, and most of all I was unmotivated and I have been. Yes, I know it sounds like an excuse but I'd rather write Blinded when I'm motivated rather than write crappy chapters that I don't enjoy writing. So for the month of June, I'm going to take a break from writing, find some sort of motivation, and overall figure out what direction I want Blinded to go. So for right now, it is a goodbye unit next month. Sorry for the delay. -L.N.F

She wanted to see if she could open the book, it would be exciting to tell people she could open the book. She slowly turned the first page, and her heart skipped a beat. She had no idea why. She stopped opening the book But the book slowly opened by itself, surprising her. She was expecting to see writings, ancient writings, but what she saw was a blank page. She raised the book and shook it, yet nothing. But when her bloody finger touched the page, a bright glow came emitted from the book, almost blinding her. It happened too quickly and she faded into the book.
