My Mafia Husband

My Mafia Husband

Great! “Welcome back, Miss Ricci,” an elegant woman in her mid-twenties said with a gracious smile. “Hello Jane,” Cia said. “How can I help you? I hope you are here for our newly arrived collection,” she smiled. “I am here for my friend. But it won’t hurt to look,” Cia winked. “Anaya, this is Jane, my personal shopping assistant. Jane, this is my friend, Anaya.” Jane had then noticed Cia was with someone. Okay, here comes the judgment! But to my complete surprise, Jane grinned at me and said, “I’m pleased to meet you, Ma’am. Would you prefer someone else to help you with your shopping instead of me?”

Take This Withered Love

Take This Withered Love

Lucas stood by the floor-to-ceiling windows in his study, his knuckles tapping against the redwood desk. The photographs Jason had just delivered were spread across the surface, each one piercing his eyes like a blade. His voice was so low that it barely carried. "Are we sure it's her?" "Absolutely." Jason wiped the sweat from his temple. "Mrs. Fischer opened a bookstore in Yewton, and it's doing well. These were taken last week." In the photo, Elena stood outside a bookstore called "Books by Elena".

Fifteen Years of Craving The Wrong Love

Fifteen Years of Craving The Wrong Love

Just squeezes my arm gently once and changes the subject to whether I’d prefer hardwood floors or carpet. Later that day the sun is already dipping low when I pull up to the book club venue. It’s one of those discreet, upscale spots in New York. The crowd there are classic elite women in expensive clothes, diamond studs glinting under the chandeliers, handbags that cost more than most people’s rent. Mom spots me the second I step inside. She raises a hand, waving me over with that calm, expectant smile she’s perfected over decades. I walk through the tables, nodding politely at faces I vaguely recognize.

Dear Wife, I Hate You

Dear Wife, I Hate You

“There’s one around the corner. We can check it out tomorrow if you want.” “Oh my God,” she breathed. “There’s a book club? I’ve always wanted to go to one. Talk about books with real people and all that. Thank you so much, Nolan.” The smile in her voice made my chest ache in the best way. “But,” she added, “the book club is tomorrow. I’m talking about tonight. Like, I can’t close my eyes right now. I keep seeing that image. It’s just... messed up.” “I know,” I sighed. “But it’s too late for me to come over, and you can’t come here either. Not tonight. We’ll talk tomorrow, alright?”

Rebirth And Revenge: The Betrayed Heiress's Return

Rebirth And Revenge: The Betrayed Heiress's Return

“Hi, Miss Wilson. Hi, Miss White.” “Come here. Investors and Director Lewis will be there.” As she spoke, she wiped the chair and the edge of the table with the tissue and poured a cup of tea for each of us. After we sat down, I asked, “What’s going on over there. There are so many people.” She said, “It’s sad that Miss Park bought a new book written by Phoenix called Joy of Life. A signed one.” I nodded. But Jenny rolled her eyes in disdain. Selena said with some envy, “I have never seen Phoenix’s signature before.”

it would be more exciting if POV only concerns ML n FL. it's a mess for me when all characters got their own POV. it's kinda mixed up n after a few paragraphs, another POV from other character n it goes on n on.

One good thing about this story is that the FL not only has a doting boyfriend but also a doting mother-in-law. Loved reading this very positive love story of a badass FL. one complaint would be this book needs a lot of corrections. It is a bit messy.

Falling For My Devil CEO Husband

Falling For My Devil CEO Husband

"I'm going to prepare our breastfast now." "DO you have something to do this weekend, Bianca?" I was busy stacking the books in the young adult section of the bookstore when I heard Kelly say beside me. She was leaning on the shelf while checking on her nails. It was painted black. I remembered it was red the other day. I stopped what I was doing and turned to her. "Hmm. What is it this weekend?" She smiled at me. "Jeff and I were planning to watch the new Marvel movie on Sunday. Do you want to come with us?" Her face crumpled. "I don't think I can stand Jeff for three hours."

FORSAKEN WIFE, NOW A BILLIONAIRE'S GREATEST REGRET

FORSAKEN WIFE, NOW A BILLIONAIRE'S GREATEST REGRET

I said with a smile. Her eyes lit up with recognition. "Oh! You're the Gonzalezes! In the Miller beach house! We're so glad someone is finally living there year-round." She leaned in conspiratorially. "We have a weekly book club. Tuesdays at ten. We're starting a new mystery next week. Nothing too taxing. We'd love to have you." A book club. The invitation was so ordinary, so wonderfully mundane. For a moment, the old Gwen surfaced—the one who scheduled meetings with senators and orchestrated multi-million-dollar legal strategies. But she was quickly quieted by the woman I was now.

My Bestfriend's Boy

My Bestfriend's Boy

Her hair was bright pink, her nails painted black, and she wore a T‑shirt that said “Books Before Boys.” “You’re new,” she said, handing me my drink. “Is it that obvious?” “You have that look. The ‘I just moved here and I don’t know anyone’ look.” She leaned on the counter. “I had it too, two years ago. It fades.” I laughed. “How long did it take?” “About a week. Then I found the book club.” “Book club?” She grabbed a flyer from under the counter and handed it to me. “Tuesday nights. The Spined Fox bookstore. We read everything from literary fiction to trashy romance. No judgment.”

My Five Forbidden Bikers

My Five Forbidden Bikers

“And now that you know a little more about what’s happening, it makes sense. He’s the President of the a club now and he’s not exactly going out drinking while his crew handles drama.” “Fair point,” I said. “But I still want to meet him.” “And I still want to serve him drinks, push my chest up, and make him smile,” she said shamelessly. “Once this mess dies down, he’ll probably show up again.” I burst out laughing. “Describe him to me.” “No chance,” Jane said, waving me off. “I’m not spending my shift distracted.” She dug into her oversized bag and pulled out a stack of papers. “But I do have the flyers finished, and I need your opinion. Also, I talked to a few local jewelry makers. I brough

Delusional Jane

Delusional Jane

She asked, narrowing her eyes at me. “When you’re angry. You’re obviously not in a good mood.” I said cautiously, hoping not to provoke her further. “You’re drifting again, Jane!” Sheba snapped, bringing me back to the present. “Focus!” “Oh yeah! What was I saying again?” I tried to recall, feeling flustered. “Tell me what happened at the club!” Sheba repeated, sounding exasperated. “Oh yeah! That!” I said quickly, and resumed my story. “So we got to the table of the elites and everyone else was friendly. At least they faked their smiles. But I noticed that someone didn’t.” I said, pausing for dramatic effect.
