I let out a heavy sigh, “Some. Not all.”
“Are you satisfied?”
I give her a strained smile, “Not really. Hurt, is more like it.”
“I see,” her voice is gentle. “Why don’t you sit down, and I’ll make us some tea?”
That actually sounds nice.
Director Yearwood is a very meticulous person and she takes her time boiling the water, selecting the teabags. When she sets a cup in front of me, I’m more relaxed.
