Fred muttered. " Eight months!!!". She exclaimed." You piled up debts for eight months". " I swear I did not know it would be this bad, believe me". Fred pleaded. " So what happened to the loan you took for the business?" She asked crossing her arms. Fred shut his eyes. " That's the money I gambled and lost" Elena sat on the bed, her head was beginning to ache her, she was irritated and upset at the same time. He used the pain to gamble, how could someone be so foolish.

"Wren tucked this inside the divorce papers. Read it." Declan took it with trembling hands. It was a pregnancy test report, and the diagnosis printed across it read, ‘miscarriage’.

A timeline. I could work with timelines.

The papers were scattered everywhere. The top one had ink that had already faded. But the moment my eyes landed on those words, my mind went blank. It was Lucian's handwriting. I recognized it because the day I learned to write my name at the Sawyer pack, it was him who held my hand and taught me every stroke. And now, the paper in front of me contained the detailed entrance of the river on the northern slope of the Gram pack, the times for the defense change, and the ruthless line that read, "Action can be taken tonight."

I emailed it to Miller and knew I was finished with everything to do with sports. Still no tears.

June 2040 Kara's POV: It's staring at me, like literally staring. I shouldn't have done it. Why did I take the stupid book? I hope to God he doesn't notice, but what if he does? I highly doubt that he writes in a diary every day. But then again, I shouldn't assume. I'm tempted to read it. I should read it, or else what the hell was the point in taking it? It's a thick black leather book. It looks somewhat worn, but largely unused. It's probably just filled with gaming or sports stuff.
