Not His
The sincerity of his words put me at ease, and I did miss the friend who rescued me.
“Okay, Alpha Damen.”
Damen smiled again, obviously relieved that I accepted his invitation. “Right this way,” he ushered me to the door. He was wearing an impeccable suit, and I felt underdressed even though I was in business casual.
“Don’t I need to change?” I asked, indicating his outfit.
“Nope,” he replied. “You’re good. I always overdress when I’m out in public. Mom and Dad’s final dent they left me,” he joked with a wink.
