KNOCKOUT

KNOCKOUT

The bell rang, followed by music again. Slam shot at me imminently. I swear to God, I almost pissed myself. He looked like he was a psycho killer about to skin me alive. I threw myself on the ground and rolled a few feet before popping back up on the balls of my feet. Slam turned towards me and smirked a malicious smile.

Escaping The Mafia Devil

Escaping The Mafia Devil

*Knock knock* I lifted my head from my book that I had been reading because I couldn’t fall asleep, and I frowned at my bedroom door. That was strange. I definitely heard a knock, but it was too far to be from it. Maybe I had heard things. *Knock knock* The knock came before I could resume my reading, and my frown deepened. Was someone here? It couldn't be. Maybe an animal was playing with something, or it could be the wind.

she whispered. A single knock came from the front door. One. Two. Then silence. Lorenzo exhaled slowly, his fingers twitching toward his gun. “Get ready.” The knock came again—harder this time. Then the handle turned.

He Is My Husband

He Is My Husband

Knock Knock The sound of knocking on the door was really loud, like tapping using internal power. Knock Knock Again, even though the first beat had not yet ten seconds passed. “Excuse me ---“ Tuti, who was just about to say, was cut off. The door she knocked on finally opened. Showing Anjani’s tiny face who came out of it. “What’s the matter?” asked Anjani kindly. Even though Anjani knows that behind the mothers there is Nisya who frowns in fear, I don’t know what the girl is afraid of.

Heir of Secrets: My Enemy's Child

Heir of Secrets: My Enemy's Child

The knock came at 9:07 a.m. Not the soft tap of a neighbor. Not the impatient rap of someone selling something. This was the kind of knock that carried authority in its rhythm—two firm knocks, a pause, then two again. It sounded official enough to make your stomach believe it before your brain could argue. Noah froze at the kitchen table, pencil suspended above his workbook. My belly tightened instantly, the familiar band of pressure, and I pressed my palm there beneath my shirt like I could hold my body steady with my hand. In for four. Out for six.

He bows and exits. It is nearly nine when a soft knock sounds. “Onyx, go see who it is,” I whisper from bed. Onyx begins to open it only a little before it is thrown against the wall with a loud bang, startling the babies and making them all cry.

"Asking if you want another joke. Using shoes." She sighed. "Actually no; I really don't." "Hey Amara," Declan continued. "Knock-knock." "No, Declan." "Knock-knock." "We're on the bus, Declan." "Knock-knock." He wasn't going to let up. "...Who's there?" "Ken." "Ken who?" "Ken you let me in?" He laughed. "I'm asking you to let me in the door. Because you still haven't."

Love Slave to the Mafia Boss's Passion

Love Slave to the Mafia Boss's Passion

**Knock Knock Knock** Here goes nothing. I knocked firmly on his door three times and waited for a response. The response I got was complete silence. Is he asleep…or did something bad happen to him? I bit my lower lip as I knocked again on his door, this time harder and louder than before. Once again, all I heard was silence. There was no response or any sounds of movement on the other side of the door. Hayden…are you ok? I felt like time had frozen and everything was happening in slow motion as I reached out my hand grasp the doorknob. I took in a deep breath and held it before slowly turning it. It turned, the room was unlocked.

Author clarification: This book is predominantly a romance/steamy book. It is PURELY fiction. No characters, gang, or any setting is real. This book does not intend or desire to focus on the mafia setting but more on relationship development. The author does not intend to do any research on mafias.

I’m really enjoying this story. I just spent the last 4hours reading this book, it’s that good! Just when you think you have it figured out, there’s another twist in it. (My only complaint is, I wish the author would proof read it before hitting the send button. So many simple spelling errors.)

Accidentally Killed His Fiancee

Accidentally Killed His Fiancee

Dan knocked twice loud and twice soft. “Is that a message?” I asked him pertaining to how he would knock. “Member's way of knowing who is entering. Whether enemy or ally.” He explained. “What if I tried it, but I'm not a member. It's very easy to discover and imitate.” I curiously commented. He chuckled at what I said.
