Mated To The Enemy Alpha

Mated To The Enemy Alpha

I smiled, looking at the only bookshelf with the books I had marked pink, which were my favorites, as I walked over to the table. I had tags for every book that I had liked and wanted to ask him if he was willing to trade. “This is…” I paused. “You could have thrown the books away,” I muttered under my breath, walking around the room, and he nodded his head. “Yes. But then you had said it gave you a sort of peace whenever you were here.” He walked around, picking up a book from the table. “It’s clean, though. How did—”

A Prey For My Enemy

A Prey For My Enemy

He never interrupted. The longer I read, the more the tension bled out of his shoulders. His breathing slowed. The hard line of his jaw relaxed by degrees. Oh, how satisfying it was to offer relief to my enemy. After a while I glanced up. Firelight played across his face, softening the sharp edges I’d grown used to. He looked… human. I reached the end of the chapter and let the book rest in my lap, finger marking the page. Silence stretched between us, thick and warm and way too intimate for people who were supposed to hate each other.

Marked by the Enemy King

Marked by the Enemy King

As the first of the militia dropped into the room, the proximity alarm began to wail—a shrill, piercing sound that cut through the thunder of the gunfire. Nikos leaned into the console, his back arched in agony. The Ledger was no longer just a system; it was a weight, a heavy, suffocating mantle of steel and electricity, and it was finally tearing him apart from the inside out. He had reached the breaking point, and as the enemy surrounded them, he realized that for the city to have a future, he would have to sacrifice every last piece of his own.

"Kelda would like you to have this. It is very old, a history of our people. We hope it will help." Liv didn't move for several breaths, but finally stepped forward and took the book from Brodi's outstretched hand, careful not to touch him. The book itself tingled in her fingers and she almost dropped it in surprise. The book clutched tightly to her chest, she stepped back. "We are here…I am here for whatever you need," Brodi told her, holding his arms out to his sides. Liv bit her lip as she regarded him – like some kind of Viking warrior presenting himself to her as tribute. Her insides quivered, but she refused to submit to this insane pull she felt for him. It's not real. Just get out of

The Forsaken Luna’s Revenge

The Forsaken Luna’s Revenge

Nyla’s POV The smell of ancient parchment and dust filled the library. Books that hadn't been read in decades were stacked high on shelves. Killian and I were surrounded by large piles of books as we stood in front of a huge wooden table. There were lengthy shadows against the walls as the candlelight flickered. I flipped over another old book and said, "We have to find something." With the weight of the past bearing down on me, my hands shook a little. "The enemy my father warned me about is here now."

The Rejected Little Wolf

The Rejected Little Wolf

Leila said after thinking for a while. What she had said made sense that no one spoke when thinking about who had the book. "Then if what Josiah said was true, he is not an enemy," Elana said. "Yeah. It doesn't make sense. If he was an enemy and had the book then he is aware of all my gifts and current strength," Leila said. "So it would have been a perfect opportunity to attack right now instead of us training so that we can be stronger as we wait for the last battle," Marcus chimed in.

He looked straight at me, took out a pen, and started writing on the book in front of him on the table, "Keep your friends close and your enemy closer. The enemy lives among us; be cautious and be prepared for the worst. This is only the beginning; the worse is yet to come."

For a beginner, you did very well. kept the interest and attention of going on to the next chapter. there were some mistakes but none that can't be fixed. other than that I thought it was a great story. however, the chapters could've been a smidge longer for how much they cost. job well done!...

Blood ,Fire and Frost

Blood ,Fire and Frost

“And the vacuum will return.” Rowan swears. “So we’ll fill it first.” Lucien’s eyes narrow. “With what?” I feel the Axis hum around me, wide and watching, no longer a crown but a storm system gathering in the distance. “With something honest,” I say. “Something messy. Something human.” Rowan nods fiercely. “Good.” I turn back toward the hall, where voices rise and fall like waves, where certainty is being challenged for the first time. Book Four has shown its real enemy now.
