hey guys I am sorry I haven't posted my oldest child's dad was shot and killed and we have been trying to help my son process it the best we can, plus help his mom get the funeral set up and granted permission to leave hospice to be able to attend it's and it's putting a strain on my current relationship because I am having to do all this work for an ex but all that work isn't for my ex but my child not my fault the man didn't have a woman after I left him and they have no other family to help her plan it and get her out of hospice ok rant over sorry but I will get back to posting Monday March 16th with 2 chapters for all 3 of my books I have open

She finally insisted, and the kitchen was full of jostling bodies as they quickly cleaned up after themselves. "I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see it with my own eyes," Janice finally declared. "What?" Harold asked. "The difference in this place. It's a home, not a house. And we're a family, not 3 stranger's sharing a roof." She took Heather in her arms and cried over her. "I'm so happy with you," she sobbed, "that's what makes this so hard." "Makes what hard, Mom?" Heather asked, but secretly delighted. She suspected it was time for the proverbial shit to hit the fan.

Was it because they thought I was disgusting? Mom screamed and quickly dodged me. She then stood up and patted her uniform that hadn't even been stained with blood. My hand froze midair. On the other end, Evonne happily urged, "Mom, hurry! Dad said the three of us are going out for Wersole food to celebrate surviving this ordeal!" As I watched the retreating backs of the happy family, I couldn't endure it any longer. My tightly clenched right hand loosened, and with my bloodied, mangled fingers, I pressed the remote button.

Then, he looked at his wife struggling on the floor and his son howling with his head in his hands. He suddenly charged at Carrie and grabbed her throat, his voice filled with endless regret and madness. "It's your fault! It's all your fault! You ruined our family! Give me back my Jasmine!"

Elysia shrugged as she asked. “It’s a black spell book of ancient spells. It’s black magic,” Astra answered. “Black magic is forbidden,” Elysia whispered. “Exactly.” Astra said, looking at me. “So why does your family have it?” Elysia asked. “Because it’s a family heirloom from my mothers side passed down from generations to generations.” I said, simply as Astra looked at me like I just descended from the heavens. She nodded once again. “This is your family history, Nina.” “Wow.” As I scanned the pages, I couldn’t believe my eyes. My mom was right; each and every one of the people depicted in this book were related to me somehow. The entire history of my family was written right here, in the palms of my hands. Slowly, I looked back up at my mother with a mixture of shock and confusion written across my face.

“Don’t get me wrong I do but I’m worried. You are always indoors. You are growing up and you need to get out there, enjoy the world.” “I’m enjoying my world.” “What is your book all about?” “Crime fiction.” “Am I supposed to know about that?” “Ah dad. Where do I even start from?” Her father looked at her. “Ok just know that it’s about the most notorious family in Zambia.” “Notorious?” “Yes. The family is the most feared in the country. No one crosses their path. Whoever does, gets killed. On top of that, they have connections everywhere. The police cannot touch them. No one touches them.”

He traced my face with his fingertips, following the line of my jaw until he held me there, gripping me with a subtle but possessive hold. “You’re looking for answers in the wrong place.” His voice came out low and hoarse, laced with a mystery that only fueled my confusion even more. Without breaking eye contact, he reached out, pulled a book from the shelf, and placed it in front of me. “You need to find your own path and your own answers, human. The truth is yours to discover.” My attention fell on the book’s cover. Fenrir Family. My heart skipped a beat, and I swallowed hard.
