Priced By My Billionaire Nemesis

Priced By My Billionaire Nemesis

I noticed the books the moment I entered the library. They occupied an entire shelf that had been empty days ago, their spines too new, too clean, too deliberately chosen to belong to the house’s original collection. Pale colors. Muted pastels. Whites softened with greys and blush tones meant to reassure rather than inform. Pregnancy. Birth. Motherhood. Infant development. Natural routines. Emotional bonding. Titles rounded at the edges, language designed to soothe instead of warn, to promise continuity instead of rupture.

The Price Of Fate

The Price Of Fate

Nyra’s POV I sat on the bed and placed Elaine’s book in front of me. For a moment I did nothing else. I just looked at it properly. In the library it had felt old and important. Here, on my bed, in this room, it felt stranger than that. More private. More dangerous. Like it did not want to be mistaken for a random old text preserved for curiosity’s sake. It was thick and heavy, yes, but now that I was alone with it I noticed more. The cover was not ordinary leather at all. Up close, the texture was wrong in a way that raised the hair on my arms. It had a faint pattern under the dark surface, not visible at first glance but there when the light caught it sideways. Not wolf hide. Not cow leath

To the Forest that Bargains Life

To the Forest that Bargains Life

I returned a favoring smile to her by doing it genuinely before I took the book on her soft palm, an almost thick book with a blue cover. The book is heavy. On the front cover, there is a closed eye with long black thick lashes in a form of feathers placed inside a pentagon. Outside the badge has a wonderful abstract ocean and sunrise. Below it, golden embossed letters are shining to make its cover spectacular: BOOK OF A ZONER "Begin reading from page two to page five," Psyche said to me, stopping me in amazement. So I did what she wanted me to do. I flipped the pages until I reached the second page of the book. I started reading what's on it.

The Ice Wolf

The Ice Wolf

She wandered up to one of the shelves and ran her fingers across the books worn spines; they smelled of dust and age. The books looked essential and historical. Nueva pulled a brow leather book from its neat row. The front cover had beautifully intricate designs etched into the aged skin, and a thin leather string locked the book's covers. She gently untied the knot and flicked through the aged yellow pages; Eira stirred inside her head. Nueva couldn't understand the language; it looked complicated and old, but the hand-drawn pictures drew her in.

My Secret, My Bully, My Mates. Series

My Secret, My Bully, My Mates. Series

She gestures toward a massive, weathered book that seems to emanate a soft glow. I know that wasn’t here when I sat down. “Let’s start with a little history. I thought a crash course would be better, but you seem to be the more in depth type of person.” She winks at me so I know she is just teasing, but I can’t always read her expressions. She opens the book to show pages filled with ornate, handwritten script covering every inch of surface on each page. It is like a diary, with notes in the margins and different colored inks splashed everywhere. The additions show the passing of time and how magic has adapted with the changing world around us.

This was a good book! Filled with plenty of fighting and love. I do however recommend you don’t listen to the “last chapter” it’s not part of story. It’s Author’s notes if I had known I wouldn’t have paid to open “chapter” other than that I say I recommend this book. Happy reading everyone

THE PRICE OF LETTING GO

THE PRICE OF LETTING GO

My thumbnail found the spiral binding of the notebook and pressed into one of the metal loops, the edge of it sharp and specific against the skin, and I sat there with my thumbnail in the metal and looked at the line and did not move. Forty-two pages. The concept rationale and the type application and the color philosophy and the photography direction and the signage system and the eight pages I had rewritten three times because the first two versions were almost right and almost right was not right and I had started again each time from the true place until they became what they needed to be. He had read those eight pages. Personally. In detail. Not flagged to Priya for summary. Not skimmed

Claimed by the Seven Alphas

Claimed by the Seven Alphas

No corners bent. He closed his eyes, tracing the gesture in his mind. Left hand pressing down the page. Right thumb and forefinger pinching the corner, gently lifting, flipping it over. Then forefinger and middle finger smoothing the new page flat. Her sleeves would be rolled up, revealing the chilblain scars on her wrists. When she turned a page, her head would tilt slightly down. Her collar would shift to the left. Because her body's center of gravity would shift right as her right hand turned the page, the collar naturally sliding left.

Eidolon Ave: The Second Feast

Eidolon Ave: The Second Feast

Felt the fine stitching, the edges secure with what looked like delicate yet strong thread. The spines were naked. No embossed words hinting at what waited within. The pages heavy. Extravagant. Nothing like the mass market paper found in today’s books. This felt special. Unique. Opening it, she read . . . I was never smart or pretty. I spent my days easy to miss and easier to forget. But even forgotten, there was still a voice desperate–

Curse Of Wine & Belladonna

Curse Of Wine & Belladonna

If she were to stop to analyze it again, she would spend a whole day staring at the page, not reading or absorbing anything. But she couldn't help it much. The second page was equal to the first z the third as well. The fourth, the fifth to the sixth, even the twenty-seventh page was the same as the first, it frustrated her. She had passed through the corridors, endured all that litany of her mother and sisters, had to remain as calm as possible in the face of that scenario in which she did not have many memories of what would happen before the meeting with Lord Kim. All this following the idea of "the book will tell you the story", so that in the end the pages are white.

Blind Alpha And His Unwanted Mate

Blind Alpha And His Unwanted Mate

Like the story is more than ink and paper. I find myself leaning a fraction, not enough to be obvious, just enough to watch how her eyes move across the page. Little darts when something makes her smile inside. A longer pause when a line lands with weight and she lets it sit there a heartbeat too long. My head, as always, starts sorting. Why a book instead of a phone? Why that one? What’s the bookmark for? The storm in my skull wants to dissect it all, wants a neat file labeled Explanation. But my mouth betrays me and twitches into a half smile before I can stop it.

the alpha is supposed to be blind, it’s the whole premise of the book, yet the author constantly describes him as “seeing” people’s blood shot eyes, watching people walk away, looking at himself. it’s sloppy, bad writing. i don’t recommend the “sometimes not quite blind alpha”
Sirena Mares
Interesting characters. Interesting werewolf lore. I just hope the author never "cures" the blind alpha as he actually is mostly capable anyway. The FL goes through quite the character development, and that's putting it mildly. The quality of the narration and writing itself is publish-worthy.
