Falling For Forbidden

Falling For Forbidden

She made it through her classes, her mind half-distracted by the thought of the job. As soon as the final lecture ended, she wasted no time heading to the address listed on the pamphlet. The bookstore was tucked away in a quiet corner of the city, small but inviting. A bell chimed softly as she stepped inside, the scent of old books filling her lungs. An older man with kind eyes looked up from behind the counter. “You’re here for the job?” he asked. “Yes,” Amara nodded. “If it’s still available.” He studied her for a moment, as if assessing something deeper than her words. Then, he smiled. “Tell me, do you love books?”

He Divorced Me On Our Anniversary

“You quit your job?” “No, Nana,” he groaned. “Jesus, calm down.” She leaned forward. “Don’t tell me to calm down in my own kitchen.” He rolled his eyes. “Our kitchen but anyway I told my editor I’m working remote it's still the same deadlines, same job but it wil only be here.” She crossed her arms. “And what exactly are you going to do all day? Stare at boats and drink bad coffee?” He grinned like a child who knew he was about to impress her. “I’m opening a bookstore.”

They Say Love is Blind

They Say Love is Blind

"I moved here from across town. I used to come this way to eat at the Jewel a few times a week and to visit my sisters. I think I just decided to sacrifice proximity to work for proximity to family. It was a smart move." "What do you do?" "I work for a publishing company converting books to Braille. We work with a lot of instructional manuals, and teaching aids, but also on demand. If someone wants the latest Stephen King novel then we will convert it for them." "Do you like doing that type of work?"

DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH

DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH

Saw reader engagement metrics stabilize into a clean pattern across the globe. "Elena, Julian " Marcus's text read. "The corporate publishing syndicates have closed three of their fiction apps. They couldn't keep subscribers once the talent pool moved to our print format. We didn't just bypass their gateways; we made their infrastructure obsolete. Readers are holding the line." Julian put his hand on Elena's as they looked out the window at the valley. Some writers were walking slowly along the tree line talking quietly. They moved relaxed and free from the city's urgency.

 The millionaire's secretary

The millionaire's secretary

she greeted him in Chinese, and everyone looked at each other in surprise, including Seung-gi, who looked at her doubtfully as soon as she greeted him in his language, and smiled in satisfaction. Eva stood up and took out a small booklet she had organized by hand, she was one of those who said, if a project doesn't work out, show him the second option, but make him sign. "Yes, there are a lot of companies with reader apps, but do they think about the readers? No, most of these platforms require a payment for the authors, which of course many of them make a living from, but there are many books that don't know how to pay or don't have the possibility to pay," everyone looked at her expectantl

The CEO's Shattered Vows

The CEO's Shattered Vows

Anywhere that might hire someone willing to work nights and weekends. Three days later, a small bookstore called The Reading Nook called her back. The owner, an elderly woman named Mrs. Chen, needed someone to work Tuesday and Thursday evenings plus Saturdays. The pay was minimum wage, but it was something. "You love books?" Mrs. Chen asked during the interview, her English heavily accented, her eyes sharp despite her age. "More than anything," Isabella said honestly. "I used to work in a bookstore before... before I moved here." "Good. People who love books understand customers who love books. You start Tuesday."

The stepbrother I ran from is my new professor.

The stepbrother I ran from is my new professor.

Anything to make the days feel less empty. I opened my laptop and pulled up the ASU job board. Part-time positions. Something that would get me out of this house. Away from Micaiah. Into an environment where I could be someone other than the girl who kept making the same mistakes. Teaching assistant positions—no, too much interaction with professors. Research positions—too isolated. Then I saw it. Part-time position at Desert Bloom Bookstore. Flexible hours. Experience with customer service preferred but not required. A bookstore.

You Are Mine, Little Sister

You Are Mine, Little Sister

"And... you're determined to prove her wrong using us? With all due respect, boss, reading eight books isn't possible. I promise if you'd agreed with her, it wouldn't have made you less charming." Katya nodded. "He's right." Well, maybe. "It doesn't matter anymore. The books are here already. So, get to work." Eric flipped through the pages with horrified eyes. "Boss, I haven't read a damn book since I was fifteen. There's a reason I don't teach for a living but specialize in ending lives. "You should get to work with this time, Eric. Trust me, you don't want to know the ending if I'm disappointed." I walked away.

Minx Chique
A very hard read at first, but when you keep reading, the storyline and characters draw you in. If you like dark storyline like this one, give another title a read, 'Marked, Broken, and Carrying His Heir' (no, I'm not the author). The story is twisted and you will also love the strong female lead.

It was the best book ever… I loved it until the part where she lost her memory…. Omg the stuff that happened to her after she got abducted, killed my soul completely and I haven’t been able to read any further. I’ve been too afraid that it will continue. I hope I can continue reading.
