Rejected Queen

Rejected Queen

Year One to Present. I looked at it for a long moment. Not what I came for, but I pulled the first volume off the shelf. --- The first page was not what I expected. It was just a single line of text in the center of the page. This is not the history of a king. This is a history of what kings cost. I stared at that for a moment. Then I turned the page and started reading. --- In the age before the Crimson War, when the world was still young enough to remember its own beginning, two peoples shared the continent as equals.

Aris raised her voice in shock. "They want the king to themselves, they were his previous mistress's." I say waiting for Asiya to help me get dressed. "The king had mistresses, and he didn't tell you? Isn't that a bit…" She didn't finish her sentence. "I will not hold it against him, as how we first started out I'm not all that surprised, especially how he held himself before I came along." I say as Asiya helps me into the dress. "Yes but, still it would have been nice to know." She mutters getting the make up ready to be used.

The love of a King

The love of a King

In The Kingdom of Valeria; The king of Valeria was seated on his throne with two men next to him, King Darien an arrogant and crafty man who ruled his kingdom like a prison filled with criminals. He stared at the people who were beneath him in disgust. There were six other people in the room. They were chiefs, advisors and ministers. The man in charge of the army was also there, as he had to give a report to the king. The king had an angry look on his good-looking face. He looked like he was in his late thirties. He wore a long robe that was made from the finest silk. He tapped his fingers on his throne as he boiled internally. He had rings on each of the fingers.

THE KING'S POSSESSION

THE KING'S POSSESSION

Chapter 11: Love knows no bounds Now, Isabel had been moved to a small, yet elegant chamber adjacent to the king’s own quarters. The room was modest, yet far more luxurious than anything she had ever known. It was adorned with soft linens, rich tapestries, and a window that overlooked the palace gardens. Though initially overwhelmed, Isabel quickly found comfort in her new surroundings, especially as her interactions with the king grew more frequent and intimate.

The Murder of a King

The Murder of a King

’, they hooted at her in obscene languages and signs. She had heard about Corinth. One of the wealthiest polis of Greece, a major exporter of black pottery. Although Corinth had an oligarchy, everything came under the rule of the king. The League of Corinth was formed when former king Phillip ruled. But when Alexander came to the throne, their powers lessened. Corinth had seen many battles between Athens and Sparta. The city had been ravaged and rebuilt several times each adding a layer of the prison of its own. The underground seemed endless, spiraling, and spiraling into a large network. ‘ I didn’t know Corinth has a king. Our king is not even in Greece’, Cassandra spoke to the guard who w

The Forgotten King

The Forgotten King

It brings me comfort in the dark. I start to walk down the hall, the very first wall I walked down when I first saw Levi all those years ago. Looking at the portraits of kings alone, some with their families. Some only queens; and some kings and queens. Levi and I are scheduled to do one of these portraits soon.

Reign - A new world order

Reign - A new world order

"Yes, you're finally getting it." "I saw this book in my blackout, what is it about, who wrote it," I asked with curiosity. "This book was once written by a king from a very long time ago when many religions were in the making; the king was a sage and very intelligent. He wrote things in his book that were ahead of his time. The Saints and the preachers didn't understand and thought of him as a monster. He had a son and a wife. When his reign was brought down by the people who followed different religions and was unable to handle the truth that was written in the book, they murdered him, but his wife and some of his people preserved this book."

And then he walked out of the room with no sense of direction at all. The princess had spent all night in the library, trying to find out what she could about the Athànatoi. Had to know the enemy, she figured. She had come across a book titled 'The Athànatoi through the times,' according to the book they had lived among mortals, the only distinction was the colour of their eyes, they were red, deep bloody red. They lived among men, did everything like they did, but they only mated with their own kind. She'd gotten to the part where the book began to talk about why the Athànatoi parted with man in the first place, but those parts were in a language she didn't understand, she stewed in her fru
