Something dark?” She hesitated, then said, “Dark, but with hope.” I tapped a book nearby, The Night Circus. “This one weaves mystery and magic, but underneath, it’s a story about trust and power.”

"We can’t stay here watching everyone turn their backs on us for no reason. I don’t care if that means being alone with him. I’d rather that than be surrounded by people who judge without knowing." Bright looked at me with something I couldn’t quite identify in that moment, maybe gratitude, or a hint of relief. Maybe both. It's unlike before.” I ask. “Hmm,” he puffed out a long sad breath. “Ever since you've left, the bookshop has become so lonely, no one to manage it. We tried getting someone to manage it but they couldn't handle it well. So we lost a lot of customers and people stopped coming. I couldn't handle all of it on my own.” He said with a sad smile.
