Books Like Playground Novels & Stories

I tried to tell myself the same thing, tried to stay calm when it felt like everything was crashing down on me all at once. I hurried out of the library and went straight to the playground. It was nearly empty except for a few mothers sitting and chatting while their children played on the jungle gym a few feet away. I asked if they’d seen a little boy with curly brown hair or a blonde girl with pigtails, but no one had.

When they grow restless, Liam asks if we can go outside. “There’s a playground near the building,” he says with the confidence like he has already investigated it. “Mommy promise to takes us sometime.” I hesitate for a moment. The courtyard playground is secure and visible from several angles and the children are already getting restless. A short time outside will not hurt. I send Isabella a brief message telling her we are going down to the playground, before gathering the children’s shoes and jackets. The playground occupies them completely leaving me free. Liam tests every structure for “stability.” While Lila claims a small swing and demands to be pushed. For a while the afternoon feels

Erin’s eyes met mine, and her lips pursed like she really wanted to cry. I stroked her hair while Lucas and I stared into each other’s eyes. He understood what I was getting at, so he told Vern and Oliver that we were going to step out for a moment. We brought Erin to the newly constructed indoor playground, and her eyes instantly widened when she saw what was inside. A humongous inflatable slide with a pool of plastic balls greeted her. On the other side of the large room, tables and chairs lined up the wall to cater to unsporty activities like reading, coloring and the likes.

Monique walked slowly as Louise cautiously supported her to the playground. Rumors about the chairman pampering his daughter had spread throughout the entire company and all workers were sticking their heads out to have a look at the playground. The playground was not completed yet. The only things that were completed were the inflatable castle and the gigantic slide. The inflatable castle was spectacular, decorated with rainbow colors on it. The gigantic slide on the other hand had a few slides on it, each with different sizes and measurements. One look at it and everyone knew it was made from high-quality materials.

That playboy, she wonders what he looks like when babysitting his baby sister. "Mommy, I want to play with atche Shanday!" "But 'ate' Sunday can't play. Maybe later?" Sydney hugged her mommy's arm. "Okay then, laterrrr!" Sunday can't move her eyes away from Sydney. She's just too way cute to resist. She didn't know where that feeling was coming from. Being an older sister of her younger siblings, the feeling is mutual. She can't help but feel that way. "Aweee... she's too cute.."

She figured the least she could do was feed him, talk with him and make sure he got home safe. Thankfully, they got to Callie’s favorite twenty-four-hour diner - The Filling Station. The place had a retro and vintage feel to it, with huge neon signs, a pool table, a jukebox, and alternating black and white tiles. Red leather seats were available for the customers, and luckily, they found an empty booth.

I need hockey to scrub him from my system, but the ice doesn’t work miracles. After, I’m slumped in the locker room, sweat drying in cold patches under my pads, doomscrolling through group chats and party invites. It’s the usual mess—memes, inside jokes, thirst traps, a DM from a guy named Darren. My thumbs hover over Tyson’s name for a long moment. That’s what I’m supposed to want. He’s perfect. Untouchable. My personal varsity prom date. Dylan brings me back to earth. “Cap, you gonna give us the play-by-play, or what? Don’t make me crowdsource this shit.”

, she said to herself. Fernanda was not the best when it came to children, even when she tried. Her usual bus trips to wherever she went always had babies and toddlers on board, she’d try to smile at most of them but all they did was frown at her like she wore a scary mask. She always dreamt of having her own kids one day despite the fact that all children despised her, but the timing was disorienting her. Looking into her books, all she saw were letters with no meaning. For a good three hours she was on the same page, just some moments later she felt a heavy nudge on her shoulder that took her out of her deep thoughts.

Touch me again. Alex grinned, releasing her hand. 'Oh, I will. But let's make it interesting.' He reached over to the nightstand drawer, pulling it open with a soft creak. Inside lay his collection of toys, hidden from prying eyes. He selected a thick dildo ridged along the shaft, with a flared base for easy handling. It was black, veined realistically, the kind that stretched just right. Maria's eyes widened, a mix of curiosity and excitement flashing across her face. She'd never used one with a man before, but the idea sent a fresh gush of wetness to her core. 'What are you going to do with that?'

“Slide!” Adrian exhaled through his nose, a sound that was almost a laugh. “Of course.” *** The playground was a frantic sprawl of chaos—children screaming with joy, parents negotiating over snacks, and colorful shoes abandoned under the swings. It was loud, messy, and vibrantly alive. Adrian stood at the edge of the sand for a second too long, rooted to the spot. This was not a world he knew how to enter; there were no boardrooms here, no leverage to apply.
