***ABOUT THE BOOK*** The Elf King & I is a romance/humor/fantasy fiction set in the fictional world called Aldous (+ a few more) and the real world, USA. The relationships of the characters are: - BxB for main couples. - BxG for others. This story is bound to have some silly events to depict comedy scenes for a good-time laugh. Nevertheless, though the story may start light-themed at first, it is recommended to brace yourself for a heavy plot in the future.

James insisted. “Then that means the crystal is safe! Vampires can't take it, neither can we!” Drex said. "Hopefully so! It's just that there's a chance that someone could!” Rabbeca began to suspect. "Who?" Drex asked. “Azazel! Creatures said to be cursed elves!” James explained. "What the hell is he?" The older James began to explain what he knew about the elf nation. “The Elves are creatures from the heavens! That's what humans know! But I don't think it's heaven but another place which has a very beautiful realm! They have the power to control many things like the weather, time, and human memory!”

“Then take me to the elf and don’t speak of this to anyone.” *** “You’re back,” the elf said without taking her eyes from the book she was reading. “He came with our mortal enemy as his mate. We need answers.” Freya threw the gold coins on the table and crossed her hands across her chest. “You said I won’t like what is to come. Explain.” “Determined, I see.” The elf chuckled, flashing her yellowish teeth. “My vision hasn’t changed and I still stick to my answer. You won’t like what is to come.”

Qiu Yunping looked at him and asked. "Our Wushuang pavilion has an ancient book, and there are descriptions of Elf race on it." Shi Yifei looked at the people walking out of the forest, "Look at their ears." Even Chu Xun looked at them curiously, only to find that their ears were hidden in the blond hair, but they were pointed. "The ancient book said that the Elf race is one of the strongest among hundreds of ancient races. The only difference between them and humans is that their ears are pointed, and all their skills are best reflected in the bow and arrow in their hands." Shi Yifei explained.

I ask them about the elf king, and Gavrill says he just spoke with him the other day. “I thought my grandfather was the elf king?” Haven asks. “The elves have what are known as lesser kings. They help Eluf, the true king, watch over all the elves. Think of it like the president of the US. There is the president; then there are the governors that manage the individual states.” Gavrill says. “That makes sense.” Haven replies. “Although I am still confused about why he is such a purist. Elves don’t mate outside their species often, but they also fully believe in the bond. Eluf’s mate is a witch/dragon hybrid.” Gavrill adds.

But what caught my eye was the bookshelf that took up an entire wall—filled from floor to ceiling with books of all shapes and sizes. “I’ve been doing a lot of research,” Elijah said, gesturing to the shelves. “These are all the texts I could find about elementals. Some are histories, some are theoretical, some are more practical guides. A lot of them are pretty old—I had to special order copies from overseas.” I moved closer, running my fingers along the spines. Indeed, many of them appeared old and worn. It must have cost a small fortune to get such old texts. “You did all this for me?” I asked, my voice barely above a whisper as I turned to look at him.

A war will break out if the elf king finds out. Elves are self-righteous creatures and they worship their pure lineage. They barely have relationships with creatures other than faeries, nymphs and sprites. Anything other than that was impure. Willingly becoming impure is one thing but being forced to become a freak is another. How am I supposed to sort this out without a war breaking out?

But instead of old stories from my grandmother’s life, the pages were scrawled with strange symbols and sketches—shorthand in her handwriting explaining the purpose of different runes and sigils. Flipping through the pages, there were sketches of wolves, and the last page that she’d written in had a detailed rendition of a nightmarish wolf-beast that made my blood run cold at the sight of it, it’s eyes smudged over with charcoal in the shape of a protective rune. My heart raced when I realized what I was holding. This was no ordinary journal, it was a spell book.

Every day, she would tell Elwin that the female elves all harbored evil intentions. Once Elwin became tired of hearing about it, he decided to simply give her a wide berth. His attitude directly affected the other half-elves. Slowly, even the ones who delivered daily necessities to her stopped coming by. She frequently went without food to eat or clothes to wear, and she felt suffocated by the reality of her living situation. Then, she heard that a certain wolf tribe's Highlord had conceived a silver wolf pup with a human partner. The entire tribe was in the middle of sending out invitations and preparing a banquet to celebrate the young wolf.

Any help they gave came at an unacceptable cost. “If it will help the entire pack.” He took a few steps looking around. It was hard to stop himself from being in awe of the room. There were floor-to-ceiling shelves with books on magic and moon phases. There were even books on werewolves. Rowan froze when he ran across a book that looked just like Elly’s grimoire.
