“Since you’re in our turf, you better abide by the law here!” “You think you’ll gain reputation by committing crimes and breaking laws here in Las Vegas? Think again!”

Alex’s POV I hate Vegas but somehow I am always in the heart of the city for one business meeting or the other. The thing about Vegas is, it always smells like desperation. Cheap perfume, stale whiskey, and the electric hum of bad decisions waiting to happen. I should be used to it by now, from the relentless noise, the synthetic glitz, the way time folds in on itself when you’re drowning in too many flashing lights down to the hollow promises. But here I am again, standing in a room full of overeager tech bros and recycled sales pitches, nursing a drink I don’t want and counting the hours until I can get the hell out of here. All while keeping a neutral face of course

It was hidden in a pocket of one of Amara's clothes in her room. Antonia declared, causing both Damon and Darius to narrow their gazes, not believing what they had just heard. I'm not a thief. I don't know how that got into my room. Please believe me. Amara pleaded, dropping to her knees before Lunar Anita, she couldn't explain how Antonia's diamond necklace ended up in her room. It was confusing. And she knew she had been set up, but by whom, shut up. You thief, you've been caught. And instead of apologising, you're lying. Antonia yelled at Amara, and both Damon and Darius hated the way she spoke to her.

Thinking I would have at least a couple of days down time I agreed to a game of cards promising myself that I would spend all day tomorrow with my family. “Wicked.” Porter winked and I had a sudden moment of fear when I hoped this wasn't going to be strip poker before realising that that was unlikely given that I was the only woman. I shook my head and followed the guys up to the forth landing and into a larger, double sized cell that belonged to one of the guys with a wide bed a table and four chairs and more decorative items than I had seen in any other cell, it actually felt homey. “Who's room is this?” I asked following Jake and taking a seat beside him on the bed while I glanced around

Settled in the middle of the fucking desert is a massive gated community - The Vega Pack’s estate. “Welcome to Las Vegas, Konstantin,” Andreas says with a smile after removing the handcuffs. He doesn’t even flinch when he touches the silver, but I can hear and smell his skin burn. Fuck, what are these Lycans made of? We hear a scuffle behind us, and I see Dimitri on the ground with another Vega warrior. I roll my eyes. “Calm the fuck down; we’re okay,” I say as I walk over to him and give him my hand, and he grabs my forearm to heave himself up.

Volume 1: Dangerous Attraction TRAVIS RATION HUNCHED over the hotel desk and flipped to the first page of the autopsy report. The lights from the Vegas strip cast globes of colored light onto the paper, but the glitz and glamour held no sway for him. Only the poor woman in the photo.

My mother asks and Hunter shrugs. “ It seems like he is eager to expand to Vegas.” I mean, who wouldn't? The business of mafioso strives in Las Vegas. Sex, drugs and weapon trafficking has its biggest base in that city. While Chicago is convenient for business growth, you have to be patient to build an empires.Vegas earns you a quick buck. That's why we have more cartels in Vegas than in Chicago. “ He is one greedy bastard. He is controlling more than half the city here and still wants more.” My mother snickers.

He pointed out a tiny bookstore tucked between two cafés, said he used to come there for quiet when his life got too loud. “Let’s stop,” I said, tugging gently at his sleeve. He looked surprised, but followed. The bookstore smelled like paper and nostalgia. There were handwritten recommendation cards tucked into shelves, and a sleepy cat lounging by the register. Dean and I split up for a few minutes him disappearing into the nonfiction section, me wandering through poetry and travel books. When we found each other again, he was holding a book about dogs. “You think Vegas would approve?” he asked. “He’d probably want the deluxe treat cookbook instead.”

As the taxi drove Vanessa into the famous town of Las Vegas she didn't imagine she was about to enter a twenty-four-hour party. But that's exactly what she was about to experience. As she crossed the dry Nevada desert and topped the last bare hill, she couldn't believe the sight that was right before her very eyes. Everywhere she looked she saw flashing fluorescent lights, buildings that seemed to touch the sky, people walking the entire length of the Vegas strip, taxis and buses speeding and so much more. The driver pulled up at the hotel north of the strip in Las Vegas.
