Books Set In Las Vegas Novels & Stories

Thank you so much for reading my first ever book, I leave you with the first chapter from Rise of a Queen - book 2 for your enjoyment. RISE OF A QUEEN - BOOK 2 Chapter 1 – A New Kingdom. LAMIA I looked out the window on the top floor of my castle, yes, my castle, taking slow sips from the crystal glass that held the dark thick rum, my drink of choice tonight, as I pondered over the past two years and how far we had come.

I'll stick with my plan and maybe I can get just one person to help and call the police. "We're here," he accounces. I look out the window to see an obsidian building emerging into the sky against the vibrant Nevada skyline. Bold, crimson accents trace the edges of the building, and the sign "Dark Desires", radiates a crimson glow. It's like the building itself is whispering to me, tempting me to step inside and uncover its hidden secrets. I can't resist the curiosity that wells up inside me. His driver stops in front of the building and Danny and Luis are there to get us out and lead us inside. Danny grips the shit out of my arm, and I don't know if it's because he doesn't like me, or he th

I never wanted to see either of those scavengers again. Soon, Julian brought back a feast from the Pacific Street Cafe. Seeing how carefully he moved around me, I knew he felt guilty for the hospital incident. I could feel the protection of the Vaughn Circle wrapping around me. My mind was made up; I was going back to the Vaughn Estates in Nord City. That night, Landon Vaughn arrived straight from the airfield. I was already asleep, exhausted by the day’s trauma. Aaron met Landon in the living room, his voice a low whisper. "Don't let Sierra know we’re moving yet."

I thought of the world that was currently waking up to a silence it didn’t understand. But as I felt that tiny, second heartbeat pulse against my palm, I didn’t feel like a fugitive. I didn’t feel like a victim of a global conspiracy. I felt like an Architect. The first book was about the blood. It was about the betrayal and the breaking of the old world. It was about the trauma of the glass and the roar of the mountain. But the second book? The one we were starting right now, in this quiet French valley? That book was going to be about the Home.

The sun was setting over Las Vegas. The whole city was on fire — gold and orange and a deep, bleeding pink, the kind of sky you'd accuse of being too much in a painting. Down below, the lights were already starting to flicker on. Neon signs. Rolling marquees. Headlights. A thousand strangers with a thousand reasons to be here. I pressed my forehead against the cool glass. Okay, Cass, I thought. You are here. Now what. I had no answer. Which meant, I supposed, it was time for a drink.

He mindlinked him, and he nodded, sniffing. "What the fuck is going on here?" A familiar voice asked behind them, making Hashmuk let go of Rasmore. The person standing behind them was the person he was crying for, thinking he had left him. It was Kelvin, with a pile of magic books in his hands. He and his friends smelled like they were coming from the sewer.

Sabrina’s POV Our flight left earlier than scheduled. A small blessing, really. The sooner we got out of New York, the better. By the time we landed in Las Vegas, the city lights had already begun to shimmer in that familiar, dizzying way—neon promises stretching across the desert. I booked a hotel since Elly and I still had another flight tomorrow. Las Vegas was never our destination. Elly and I climbed into the back of a cab, the driver humming to himself while some gossip segment crackled through the radio.

Auracio My jet landed in Las Vegas after several hours of flight. The burning atmosphere of the sin city doesn’t surprise me. What surprises me more is the welcome. It’s not a lackey or a second-rate guy who comes to greet us, no. It’s him. The bloodthirsty one himself. This shows he really cares about this partnership. And he’s right. One doesn’t treat me lightly. Respect is the first rule. Otherwise, you end up with your mouth full of lead in a rusty trunk out in the desert.

Exhaustion is taking over, and I am having trouble keeping my eyes open. Right before my eyes close, the last thing I see is Braxius's blue-green eyes filled with love and sorrow. Except, I somehow know everything will be all right with him. That only thought is making my leaving easier, and I stop fighting the darkness. I am floating away towards total oblivion. I am having a few brief flashbacks of my short life of twenty-two years and growing up in New Jersey with Meena, my younger sister of nine months. I accepted my entry-level position at a prestigious marketing firm and graduating from college with honors as a business major with a minor in history.

Ludwig pushed her glasses up one more time and smiled at the two of them with the satisfaction of someone who had been waiting to deliver that sentence for quite some time. Outside the window, Las Vegas went on being Las Vegas. Loud and lit and completely indifferent to the fact that somewhere in St. Mary's Hospital on the third floor, Eli Michealson had just run out of words for the first time in his adult life. He squeezed her hand. She squeezed back. That was enough. Fin.
