Iridian

Iridian

I never thought balcony railings would be comforting, but a girl learns quickly after being thrown from the side of a mountain. Two armchairs sat outside, overlooking the peaks of snow-capped mountains, like jagged razor blades in the background. The forests were churning seas of darkness, almost indistinguishable from the hills and valleys. Far below, I could see the tiny lights of the city, like lightning bugs flying in the dark. As I sat beneath the moon, letting the frigid wind send a chill through me, I swore I could hear someone whispering. It was easier to focus on this than it was to process what we had just done. Its voice was soft, but closer than it had ever been before.

Such a well written book and the story really drags you in, I’ve enjoyed reading this so much and hope a sequel comes out. I really feel this book should be printed, I’d read it over and over again. The book is long but it’s well worth it.
Therese Dahlqvist
The author has a fantastic ability to keep me on the edge of my seat and a great ability to describe the scenery around the characters. I find the characters to be mostly well defined and consistent throughout the book. There are some typos and incorrect grammar, but not enough to disturb me complet

“Your father is mighty angry to find you left the settlement, once again. I fear you will not fare well if he discovers that you wandered this far away.” “Call me Lucille or Lucy. Anything, but Miss Bellamy. This is not the first time I have asked this of you, Charles.” The young man’s face reddened. “I will try to remember, Mi… Lucille.” Lucy looked down upon the valley below her. Patches of green grass as far as the eye could see struggled against the melting snow as winter made way for spring. Off in the distance, the rugged mountains that had forced them to make camp during one of the harshest winters Montana territory had seen eight years earlier clung to the snow that they coveted ye

THE REJECTED LUNA’S FOUR KINGS

THE REJECTED LUNA’S FOUR KINGS

POV EMMA BELLE The mountain valley was a hidden amphitheater of silver-grey stone and ancient, twisted pines. It was a place that the First King had never mapped and the Shadow-Prime had never reached. Here, the air was so thin and pure it tasted like the beginning of the world. There were no Spires here, no marble forums, and no amber vines. There was only a small cabin made of cedar and fieldstone, its chimney puffing a steady, honest plume of woodsmoke into the twilight.

Rejected Omega, claimed by the Ruthless Alpha

The mountains slept. From the balcony of Blackthorn Keep, the peaks rolled away in dark, familiar lines, their shoulders dusted with starlight. Pine‑shadow pooled in the valleys. The air was thin and clean, carrying the faint scents of smoke from distant hearths and the cold bite of rock.

But beneath the calm, sorrow churned like a storm tide. He wanted to know how she was doing now. Wanted to help her. Wanted so much more. But he had no standing. And that… that was the most painful part. Finding a way to approach her was harder than any political maneuver or power struggle. The Next Day – Demerra, Unknown Mountain Region A secluded mountain slope, home to a small mountain café. The skies were clear, the breeze light—it was the kind of day that invited people outside. Though it seemed peaceful on the surface, countless hidden forces had quietly taken up positions across the area, lying in wait, vigilant.

THE ALPHA'S SUSBSTITUTE LUNA

THE ALPHA'S SUSBSTITUTE LUNA

Corbett assigned Jackson, his Beta, and Bran, one of the best warriors in the pack to come along with Aron, Craig, and Ember to the Black Mountain. Ember was debriefed by Corbett on what kind of bandits that they might encounter in that infamous mountain. “That mountain is located at the very end point of the Ruka Mountain range. It’s in the north part, which means it’s heavily covered with ice and the temperature is not that pleasant. You need proper clothing if you wish to survive up there.”

Love all the characters especially ML and FL. True love bonding. Tyr never sets his eyes on other women tho surrounded by them n possesses s/natural powers. Unlike some amazingSIL stories abandoned the wife for hundreds of chaps, he always keeps in touch wt his wife. Lots to learn from this story.

The Faye Queen

The Faye Queen

I picked up the shirt Nik had tossed on the floor before sleeping and wore it, doing a couple of buttons. I walked past the seating area, opened the ceiling to floor sliding windows and entered the vast balcony. I stood at the edge and rested my hands on the edge of the balcony. The moon looked beautiful. It's light fell upon the town, casting a silver glow on the houses that were far away and below us. Yellow lamp hung outside their houses, encasing the town in a warm glow of its own. Straight ahead was the view of mountain ranges and their snow covered peaks. It always seemed to spark a question in my mind— why does our mountain, being the highest one of the entire dimension not have snow?

My Vampire Professor

She asked, peering up at her husband. Bernard mumbled something I didn’t catch but whatever he said, it made Carter burst out laughing. “Typical grumpy old man energy,” Carter laughed, which made Anna chuckle and Joseph crack a smile. “So, Tessa. How are you liking the mountains so far?” Anna asked, glancing over at me with such a kind look. I was chewing on some bacon when she asked so I waited until I swallowed to speak. “It’s absolutely gorgeous here” I breathed. “I had no idea there could be an entire village hidden in the mountains. I’ve never actually been to the mountains before.”
