Radyn was thrown into the chaotic world of boarding school as soon as he was able to shift. Something about getting a proper education instead of casually looming around the packhouse. The bookshelf was just as tall as Andrew so he could easily access the books there. The book the lad was currently reading was The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie.

Cassie and I just looked at each other before nodding at the same time. We followed Ms. Madrigal to her office. And when we entered, we were immediately amazed at what we saw. Goodness! Her office is so beautiful! From the bookshelves to the carpets. Everything’s beautiful! You could see the clear sky from the window. Brown painted walls. We stopped looking around and looked back at Ms. Madrigal “These are your schedules and your uniforms. Also, the keys for your dorm. I believe you’re aware that this school is a boarding school, right?” Said Ms. Madrigal.

My immediate elder sister had refused to go to a boarding school when back then after her primary school education. It really amused me that I once believed this story and even dreaded the thought of it, and listened to it with rapt attention Everytime it was being told in by different people in different ways. As I entered the hostel only few people were walking about or chattering at a corner of the hostel. It was not busy with people trooping in and out of the hostel. It was neither noisy too like before. The reading room which used to be scanty before was now jam packed and filled with people reading or writing assignments. That was the magic examination brought.

Two of the shelves had nails sticking out of the boards, a safety hazard for children. The books were in worse condition. They were yellow, old, and bug-bitten. Most of them were impossible to read with the faded letters and crinkled pages. All of them were dated two or three decades ago. The textbooks were completely obsolete and useless, while the storybooks were a few pages short. “The school has been looking for sponsors, or just anyone to adopt it.”

Not very long after, Sakura too had gone off to St. Helensburgh Boarding School for Girls where she met her friends Mary Collins, who also turned out to be the boys’ cousin from their mother’s side, and Katherine Hodge, a girl from a good family who also lived on St. Joseph Island. I wasn’t sure what I was searching for, but I hoped I would feel it when I saw it. I pulled out a book called Legends of the Moonrise Clans. The pages were yellow and made a soft crackling sound as I turned them. I flipped through it, but it only talked about old Alphas and stories about battles from hundreds of years ago. Nothing about powers. Nothing about girls like me.

I muttered " Go inside. Take only school-related books. Reading storybooks are not allowed." she added. " Storybooks..." Issac muttered. " Okay sure," I grabbed Issac's hands and went inside. I never saw a library before. But this academies Library is much bigger than I thought. It keeps on going with twists and turns. After half an hour of searching, I got nothing related to ravewood city while Issac is reading a book that is not related to Ravewood.
