Bookshelf With Hidden Gun Storage Novels & Stories

A door, thick, dark wood, stood slightly ajar down the hall to our right. Haller kept walking, but I slowed just enough to peek. Behind it, in the dim lighting, I glimpsed metal racks. Gunmetal gray cabinets. A wall lined with sleek black weapons—rifles, handguns, shelves of ammo. Tactical gear hung like uniforms, ready to be grabbed at a moment’s notice. My breath caught in my throat. Was that... an armory? I took one step closer, just enough to see more—

The entire library was just a front, and was actually a hidden safe room. "Here are my babies." I gasped. There was literally a huge collection of weapons. "They're gorgeous." I said in awe. There were different colours and designs of gun, that I’ve never seen before. Who knew something used to take one’s life could be this beautiful and dangerous at the same time. "Right." She was proud. "Is this what you do in your free time?" "Sometimes. Other times, I'm with Avery." "So, the weapons and equipment are delivered right here to your house?"

Now with the light, we can see where we are. "Where are we," I ask, turning to Chuck as he walks past me. Looking around, I see whole shelves lined up against the walls. On the shelves are an assortment of guns. I see many different kinds of handguns; basic pistols, some heavy-looking revolvers, and even a few peashooters. Beside the handgun are a bunch of blunt weapons such as wooden planks and broken pipes. After the blunt weapons are the big guns. I actually see a few shotguns lined up.

There was a leather couch in the corner, a bar cart with expensive-looking bottles of whiskey, and a window that overlooked the estate grounds. It was the kind of room that screamed power and control. The kind of room that belonged to a man like Jonathan Hart. I walked over to the bookshelves, running my fingers along the spines. Most of them were business books, biographies of CEOs and politicians, a few on philosophy. Then I noticed something odd. One of the shelves looked… different. Like it didn’t quite sit flush with the wall. I reached out and pressed against it gently. There was a soft click, and the shelf swung inward.

I feel like I’m in a dream right now, this room and this whole house is just absolutely beautiful. I secretly want to finish off the season of The Bachelor so I look around for a remote to the TV but can’t seem to find it. I look inside a drawer and lo and behold I find it, but it’s next to a Glock .45 hand gun which is loaded, and a box of opened magnum condoms.

" The cheerful expression dimmed, to one of understanding as she processed my request. Getting up and walking around the desk, she mutters, "Right this way." Following her through the different bookshelves, going in through a storage door leading towards a staircase, I walk down, entering the hidden floor. With the yellow light illuminating the room, I see a wall holding various types of firearms. Shotguns to revolvers to rifles, decorate the wall. "Take your pick, and exit through the set of stairs on the other side, good luck," that she walks back up to the library.

I said at the end and he nodded. "Is the storage still full?" I asked him. He laughed loudly before answering. "Don't you trust me, Mr Guerra? Of course." He replied. "Come with me". He led us into an empty room and we stood looking around. I cocked an eyebrow at him making him laugh again before tapping on a button beside the light switch. With that, the walls opened and all the guns he had came into view, together with bullets and different other weapons. It was an inbuilt hidden storage in the room.

I prefer my Glock. We head upstairs and Moon gives me the combination to a large hidden gun safe that's behind one of the bookcases. "I'll have 9mm rounds and magazines placed in here too. I carry a .45 and so does Alex, so we've never had use for the smaller rounds up here."

It only comes down to my thighs, but since I’ll be staying inside, that won’t be a problem. When I decide to return to his bedroom to find my underwear, something odd catches my attention.
