The Luna Queen's Rebirth
“Come look at this.”
I stood, still breathless, and walked over. Bastian’s headlamp illuminated something strange before us; a door. Or at least, what could have been one. It was really just a carved arch in the stone with no discernible handle or hinges, but it was adult-sized, and when I leaned closer, the grooves around it seemed to go through all the way to the other side.
“Help me push,” Bastian said. I did. We pushed together, hard, Dominic coming to help. The door, or whatever it was, didn’t budge of some time. Eventually, we gave up, stumbling back and breathing hard.
