Hidden deep in the center of the book. I paused, my breath catching. Etched in gold ink, surrounded by strange runes and symbol were the words. “When the she-wolf with the shadowed blood rises, four shall stand at her side but only one shall rule beside her. If the heart wavers, the pack will fall. If she chooses, the moon will bow.” My pulse quickened. “Aiden,” I called, my voice barely above a whisper. “Look at this.” He turned and walked over, curiosity flashing in his green eyes. His brows pulled together as he took the book from me and read the passage. Slowly. Carefully. His expression shifted from confusion to awe.

Jessica felt her stomach knot and twist at his words, “Others? You mean….” Elias interrupted Jessica’s words as he stepped closer to the she-wolf, closing the gap between them. He lowered his voice to a whisper, so only he and Jessica could hear it. “The prophecy doesn’t bind you to one alpha; you have four Jessica. Jack, myself and two more who are yet to appear to you. Together we are to rebuild the shattered ones.” “And if I refuse?” Jessica asked, standing her ground confidently, “What if I don’t want to repair your silly, shattered pack? I am done with pack life now. I’m going back to the City after this. Back to my normal job and my normal home.”

David pulled me into his chest, trying to comfort me. “What about my friends?” I asked between sniffles. “They’re all downstairs waiting for me to come back down. “Ok, let’s go.” I took one more look around the bedroom that had kept me almost safe for these last few months. I noticed the book I had been reading and ran back to grab it. “I like this book.” I explained as David laughed softly.

But he wouldn’t relent. When she lowered her head and her shoulders wilted, he grinned. The battle was over. He almost wished she hadn’t given in so soon. Thinking he didn’t have to fight her any longer, he loosened his grip. Within seconds, her foot snaked out from underneath her long skirt and kicked him in the shin. Pain shot up his leg and he yelped. He released her to cradle his injured limb. The petite woman had more power to her kick than he would have imagined. She darted past him. He reached out the grab her, but she was too fast. The little minx raced through the crowd, dodging people on her way.

I shake the Demons blood from my hands and walk over to where the female is lying on the ground, as I bend down and slide one of my arms under her legs and the other under the back of her shoulders I take a deep breath in and have to hold in a growl at how strong and overwhelming her scent is. I pull her close to my chest and take a sharp breath in at the electricity that spreads through my whole body from the contact. I stand, look around me, and see no one. I cloak myself and her as I start walking off the battlefield. As I open my wings and take to the sky, I feel as she passes out in my arms. Instead of taking her to the medical tent within the battle camp, I fly in the opposite directio

A lady stood beside a cliff in the first drawing and jumped into the cliff in the second drawing. In the third drawing, she had grown wings while flying back up.
