Her eyes widened in awe. The first rays of the sun are falling on the land, slowly illuminating the dark sky. As they float along the river, several balls of tiny blue lights emerge from the grounds. The little balls mode in random motion, colluding against each other but floating merrily in the air. Everywhere Roseanne looks, the balls follow her gaze. They are playful and with minds of their own. One of them comes close to her as if to study the blonde haired maiden out of curiosity. Roseanne gasps.

But then he recovered, licking his lips, looking even more eager. Brian continued explaining the rules, "If a ball hits the ground, it is retired, and a fresh ball is put into play." He pointed toward a small bucket of gleaming white ping-pong balls on a countertop behind him. "For the shot to count, keep your elbows behind the edge of the table." Hycinth listened attentively. "No fingering or blowing." At this, she squeezed Gwen's hand and raised an eyebrow. Brian caught her questioning expression and opened his mouth to answer, but Ever interjected, teasing pointedly, "Males finger and females blow."

"What are the silver balls?" "Dreams. Dreamscapes to be exact. Whenever a normal human enters dream sleep, they create a dreamscape here. Look up there!" She pointed upward to where two spheres were moving toward each other. They touched, deformed slightly like two soap bubbles, and then merged together to form a slightly larger single sphere. "When two people have similar dreams, their dreamscapes tend to attract each other and, when they meet, they join to form a single dreamscape with both minds in it."

I wanted nothing more than to escape this place. I saw children playing in the distance and thought I should just try calling them. Maybe only adults had difficulties in seeing me. I called out to the children. “Hey! What’s your name?” They didn’t stop. The ball bounced away, and one of them ran after it, giggling. Everything seemed a bit normal. Laggas’ jaw dropped in shock. “Are you an idiot?!” he yelled at Sybb, though he was pulling his younger brother hard to run with him, showing how he cared for his younger brother so much. “That big ball of light is already more than hot enough and will raze out castle grounds! So what are you adding another ball of fire of yours?!” he asked as he gnashes his teeth in anger. “Two similar sized objects bumping against each other will make both of them bounce back!” Sybb asked.

"The next game is call 'stack of balls' and just like the last two, the rules are simple... first, our participants are Queen Annie and Orchid!" Everyone clapped as they both stepped forward. "Don't go soft on me, just because I'm your queen." Annie Blackwood said to Orchid, and Orchid nod her head in reply. "To win this game, you'll have to take the balls, one after the other, from the stack of balls at the far end of the field and put them in these baskets." Racheal instructed, pointing at two baskets which were already positioned far from each other. "The first person to completely transfer her stack of balls wins the game. Are we ready?"
