My best friend is out of the country and my family— No. I won’t think about them. Not on my happy day. I pushed all the unpleasant thoughts aside and headed up to the room. I scanned the keycard, my hand trembling from excitement so much that I almost dropped the gift. But the moment the door swung open, I froze. “Oh fuck baby! Right there! We had been together for just shy of three years, and I knew loved him with every fiber of my being. "Maybe we should give it a moment, let them be boys." I said, but Stacy was already onto the next thing, putting her jacket on and letting her hair down. "You're so weird. If Danny was my boyfriend, I'd race out there in a heartbeat to make out with him." Stacy shrugged her shoulders, making me laugh. Stacy McMahon was my oldest friend, and we had a comfortable friendship since we'd known each other for almost a decade and a half. She was always blunt about how I should be more hands-on with my relationship, even though I was comfortable.

“Thanks.” He grins. “Anytime man.” I start to walk away, when he doubles back. “Hey,” he arches a brow in a way I completely don’t understand. “You think she has a friend that’s hot too? I wouldn’t mind getting set up. A blind date, or something like that.” I smile thinly. “I’ll ask.” He hits me hard on the shoulder, jostling me forward. “That’s why you’re the man. Gotta check on my patient to make sure her boyfriend hasn’t snuck a greasy burger into her room. It’ll totally screw up my day.”

Jean suddenly asked Fiona, "Is he really your boyfriend, Fiona?" Fiona heard Jean's words and immediately felt a bit guilty, but she managed to stay calm and responded, "Of course, how could a boyfriend be fake?" Jean narrowed her eyes slightly. The more she looked at the two of them, the less they seemed to match. So she gave a smile and said, "Since you say you're a couple, prove it to me." Fiona became increasingly nervous with the questions from Jean, and snapped, "How do you prove a boyfriend? What do you want, a blood test? Can you stop being so stupid?"

Like seriously what kind of a couple is this? The boyfriend has practically told me he wants to fuck me and now the girlfriend is also saying she wants a threesome while looking at me seductively. "You were groping Raphael's—what was it again? Yeah, real virtuous." She choked, speechless. I turned to fix Raphael's wrinkled tie with a gentle smile. "Thanks, honey, for introducing me to my boyfriend. I like him a lot. His kisses are real sweet. But yours? Not even a dog would want them." Raphael was furious, practically shaking. But he'd brought shame to both families. And now, the Lindt family owed me—big time.
