The anger drained from her face, replaced by something else entirely. And then—just like that—her walls crumbled. She looked at me, and I saw her for who she truly was again. Broken. Struggling.

"What do you gain?" "Nothing. Everything." I moved to the window beside her. "I've been where you are. Broken. Controlled. Used as a weapon. Someone helped me. Now I help others. That's how it works." "What if we can't be fixed? What if we're too broken?" "Then we learn to live broken. Find strength in the cracks. Build something new from the pieces." I met her eyes. "You're not alone. None of you are. Not anymore."

I stopped and turned to her "I know what you're trying to do Maryam" I told her as I took steps closer to her "You...you do?" She asked with wide eyes as she began to take slow steps backwards "Yes.....you're trying to hang around me...you're trying to prove to me that you're tough... You're trying to frustrate me...you're trying to prove that you're right....you're trying to make me give in" I told her as I took a steps closer to her and she took steps backwards with widened eyes and her back kissed the wall. I placed both of my hands on the wall
