I say to her and she hums before she hands me a drink and a plate of food. “You know the drill, all of it, Honey. I know the drugs are keeping you awake. But please rest for me. You know you will crash soon and I don’t want that.” She says before she places the cutlery in front of me. I thank her and sip my drink and dig into my breakfast. Cheese omelette, sausage, bacon, and hash browns. Yummy. I shovel the food in as fast as I can because I know the men will be here soon. And not just the members of the club, but the men I called in my favours with.

It is the day after the club as Xeno, Natasha and I sleep, spread all over Natasha's room. We wake up to Natasha's mom knocking on her door. "Ladies! Get up, breakfast is ready!" she says. With the thought of food just down the stairs, I get up immediately, and my stomach growls from being hungry. I go into Natasha's bathroom and empty my bladder. Then I wash my face and brush my teeth. I walk downstairs to see everyone already there eating and I join them. After we eat breakfast, we go back into Natasha's room. Natasha looks at both of us with an uncomfortable expression on her face, as if she were hiding something. "Xeno, Lesha," she begins slowly.

I shrug instead. When I get to the middle of the main clubroom. I see the open box. Finished touches are being made and I steady myself by looking up at the large black square hole from where it was unhooked down. The club has three floors. Gotta try to meet demand somehow. I've been considering buying another building close by, but I haven't made up my mind. And the stupid lady's hiking the price because she knows I'm a millionaire. My eyes stray to the clock at the far end of the clubroom. Then the room goes dark. Mummers start, some excited and some confused. Tonight, all eyes will be on the guys. Leon and Green, because I know they won't bring Kale.

I just need to be there by Sunday brunch, at the latest. Max asks, ‘Hey, will you have breakfast with me tomorrow? I heard about this place I wanted to take you to. It’s called the Breakfast Cafe. Have you heard of it? They said they have the best crab cake benedict there. I wanted to try it.’ ‘Relax, Max,’ she giggled. ‘We haven’t even finished dinner, and yet you are thinking about lunch already?’

Jane prompted as if waiting for a brilliant name, but brilliant names don't come easily for them. "Loser Club!" Emily grinned. "You know like the 'Breakfast Club', or something like that." "Do people have to eat breakfast together to be a member though?" Jane wondered, getting distracted. "I don't know, I just heard about it somewhere, so I stole the concept," Emily said with a shrug. "So I'll be the president, and you can be the vice president. Well...unless you want to be the president?" "Nah." Jane shook her head. "The club was your idea."

For us, fun is nothing but party, alcohol and girls. I went to the breakfast table. Mrs.Taylor had prepared pancakes, bacons and eggs with coffee. After having breakfast I went up to get ready. Yes! That's Nick's house. But we all almost live together. We do have our own separate penthouse. But when we feel like it we go to each other's house or if we find any free time from work! Anyways on Sunday, we are planning to go out for a club. Looking forward to it. I have a good feeling about it. We'll have a nice night!! Maybe that's why I love this bachelor life. ************

She eats hers, the kitchen is full of morning light and the city is doing its ordinary Saturday things outside and Clara comes in at eight-thirty in her reading glasses looking for coffee, and the three of us occupy the space together in the particular way of people who have been through something large and are now learning what the other side of it feels like.
