Clara walked in with two other maids behind her, they bowed before dropping the tray of food on the bed, the last two bowed and ran off leaving just me and Clara. “Did Tristain order you to bring breakfast to me”. Looking at the phone with a ‘you are not serious’ look, Brian hands the phone to Rebecca. “It is Bruce for you.” “Thank you,” she says as she takes the phone. As they were talking, Rebecca got a slight blush on her cheeks that told Brian that it was something to do within the bedroom and not for all ears. Something touched his heart. Why could he not have seen what he had till it was too late? Stopping in front of the club, they walked towards the entrance. Brian was shocked that they could call this a club. It was falling apart. Again walking inside, Brian had the same reaction Rebecca had when she first saw the club inside.

I tell him, smiling. He gives me a knowing look and we continue eating breakfast. Tonight is the opening of the twin's new club. We all decide to relax today knowing tonight is gonna be busy.

Clara made breakfast as her two friends were horrible cooks. She made scrambled eggs, bacon and pancakes. Gina helped heat up the milk while Raya remained seated at the dinning, waiting for Clara to bring out the dishes. They had small conversations while eating breakfast. It was only then that Clara realized she hadn't made a call through to her mom since her arrival in Mystic Falls. Wiping her finger clean, she quickly walked to the living room, grabbed her purse and brought out her cell phone.

I say to her and she hums before she hands me a drink and a plate of food. “You know the drill, all of it, Honey. I know the drugs are keeping you awake. But please rest for me. You know you will crash soon and I don’t want that.” She says before she places the cutlery in front of me. I thank her and sip my drink and dig into my breakfast. Cheese omelette, sausage, bacon, and hash browns. Yummy. I shovel the food in as fast as I can because I know the men will be here soon. And not just the members of the club, but the men I called in my favours with.

It is the day after the club as Xeno, Natasha and I sleep, spread all over Natasha's room. We wake up to Natasha's mom knocking on her door. "Ladies! Get up, breakfast is ready!" she says. With the thought of food just down the stairs, I get up immediately, and my stomach growls from being hungry. I go into Natasha's bathroom and empty my bladder. Then I wash my face and brush my teeth. I walk downstairs to see everyone already there eating and I join them. After we eat breakfast, we go back into Natasha's room. Natasha looks at both of us with an uncomfortable expression on her face, as if she were hiding something. "Xeno, Lesha," she begins slowly.

"That is the whole story. She miscounted us from the beginning, and that is why it ends here." I eat my breakfast. She eats hers, the kitchen is full of morning light and the city is doing its ordinary Saturday things outside and Clara comes in at eight-thirty in her reading glasses looking for coffee, and the three of us occupy the space together in the particular way of people who have been through something large and are now learning what the other side of it feels like. It feels like this. Eggs and coffee and morning light and people who chose each other. That is what holds when everything else breaks.
