David’s POV I watched the sunrise from my office window with a glass of whiskey in my hand. Not because I was celebrating. Because I was thinking. Evans had finally done it. He had told her everything. My people inside the mansion had confirmed it last night — Hailey went to the guest room at eleven and Evans spent the next three hours sitting alone in his study staring at nothing. The security feed showed him at his desk, head in his hands, completely broken. Good. A broken man makes mistakes. And mistakes were exactly what I needed.

Dawn broke, but it was not gentle. The sun rose veiled behind crimson clouds, bleeding color across the horizon as if the sky itself had been wounded. The camp stirred in uneasy silence, each of them feeling it before words were spoken: Day Three had arrived. Mia woke with a start, heart pounding, the pendant scorching against her skin. I opened it anyway. Video file. Three minutes long. Filmed in what looked like a motel room. Cheap. Anonymous. The kind of place that takes cash and doesn't ask questions. Brock appeared on screen. He looked terrible. Hair wild. Face gaunt. Eyes hollow with exhaustion and rage. Scratches on his face from running through wilderness. Clothes torn and dirty. "Hello, Bethany." His voice was hoarse. Barely controlled. "I know you're watching. Know you think you've won. You set your traps. You caught Jessica's mercenaries. You protected Emma. Very clever. Very impressive."

Drake’s POV – I stir awake to the faint echoes of battle still humming through the air. The scent of blood clings to the wind, but the fighting is ending—our men and Baylee’s wolves are finishing off the last of the rogues. It doesn’t take long. When it’s over, Ben taps me, and I open my eyes with a groan, blinking as the sunlight hits me full in the face. “Damn, that’s bright,” I mumble, shielding my eyes. Beside me, Dain groans too, clutching his head as the last traces of poison seep from my body. Caron’s potion is working—cleansing, pushing out the darkness.

The words hung between them. Then the door burst open. Declan stood there, fury on his face. Behind him, Eric smiled that predator smile.

I couldn't find find my mobile or my nightstand. I panicked and opened my eyes to look around. The bright sun shining from the window onto my face and eyes made me close my eyes due to the brightness. I adjusted my eyes to the brightness and opened my eyes to see that it was not my house, it was the fucking hotel room where we... Everything what had happened yesterday came back to me like scenes in a movie, I remember I was drinking too much then I saw.... Sierra Jane, just the girl I was thinking about and we.. ohhh... my... fucking luck.... I played pool with her and then came to her hotel room....

They sent out search boats and professional divers and worked through the night till dawn broke. "Found him!" someone called out. They pulled up the body I had arranged in advance. Only when the evidence was undeniable would Serena and Ethan truly believe I was dead. At the same moment, I was hauled up by the backup I’d arranged in advance. Gus walked over in long strides. "Caleb. Everything's ready. All that's left is waiting for them to walk into the trap." The sun rose slowly. Serena ripped out her IV and wrecked the hospital room. She refused treatment for her leg and insisted on going back to the place we had lived together.

Amid the exchange of pleasantries, we were interrupted by a strong gust of wind that felt heavy in the heart. A figure appeared before us; it was a huge shadow in a shape of a cloaked man with no identifiable facial feature. It whispered in a gravelly, eerie voice, "Darkness has risen. Soon, hell shall rise; the dawn of darkness approaches." Then, it vanished in a cloud of smoke, leaving all of us coughing. Noah was yelling, "Moros, you coward! Face me!"

Luna still felt a bit shy thinking about how wild she had been last night, completely surrendering to the desire that Lucas had for every curve of her body. The sounds of their pleasure combined with the rhythm of the waves crashing on the shore, adding to the intimacy they shared.
