I said sharply. No response. Her breathing hitched again. Worse this time. Krager moved closer instantly. “She’s losing too much blood,” he said. My heart dropped. “What?” He reached toward her side. And that’s when I saw it. The blood. Not just smeared. Flowing. Dark. Fresh. It had soaked through her clothes, dripping down slowly, steadily, unnoticed in the chaos, in the movement, in everything we hadn’t stopped to see. “No,” I breathed.

Either way, when the IV drip finishes, she will be ready to go home. Right now, she’s already awake.”

I pursed my lips. “Adrenalin will do that to you, it decreases pain sensitivity, but it also increases your heart rate which causes blood pressure to rise and ultimately cause you to bleed out faster. It's a double-edged sword really.” She supplied as she checked my vitals and noted down her findings.
