Chapter 9 Caitlyn was standing beside her gate when Martin arrived in his car. She was wearing a black leather skirt that stopped way above her knees, a small white top that clung to her body, a black leather jacket, and a white shoe to match. Martin swallowed nothing as he stared at her. He was mesmerized by her beautiful face and body. He cleared his throat nervously, winded down, and poked his head out a little. "Get in!" He ordered her. She smiled and quickly rushed to enter the car.

It looked like Barryville was going to pull this one out, too. “Brittany?” Lexy said, once Kyle was safely on third, and she’d adjusted the scoreboard to show the run he’d knocked in. “She looked like what?” “Oh, uh, like a ghost,” Brittany said, barely raising her eyes. “It was weird. I pulled into a spot and didn’t even see her at first, but as I was getting out of my car, I looked over, and she had turned her head to look at me. It was like… her eyes were glowing, or something. I just stared at her for a long moment. But then, she cleared her throat and shifted back around so that she was watching the game, and I realized ghosts don’t clear their throats. It was all… surreal.”

I was already caught so there was no use hiding anymore. I stepped out of the darkness and was fully able to take in the scene in front of me. Brittany was in a dress the color of a sparkling emerald. It hugged her slim features and flowed down to the floor. From her makeup to her perfectly styled bun, she looked like a million bucks. Blake who was standing next to her looked equally good in a tuxedo and a matching tie. I wonder if they matched on purpose or if it was an accident.
