I slipped away to the balcony, breathing deeply as I gazed out over the twinkling city skyline. The night air chilled the heat from the alcohol, bringing welcome clarity. Lean, manicured hands gripped the balcony beside me. I tensed, bracing myself. "Well, if it isn't the Alpha's little charity case," a voice sneered. I turned to see Brittany, a slender blonde werewolf with icy blue eyes and a permanent scowl in my presence.

Brittany called when she got no reply and Bella just couldn't take it anymore, she broke down in tears and wrapped her arms around Brittany "I ..I...I...c.. can't t... take...it, h...he...will r...ruin m...me" she stuttered and Brittany frowned in confusion, she had never seen her friend this broken and hopeless and although, she did not know why her friend was crying, she found herself sniffing and burst into tears too

Suddenly, Chantelle's eyes fluttered open, and she looked up at Delcan. A smile spread across her face, and she reached up to touch his cheek. "Hi," she said softly.
