“Where are we?” Adrian shrugs. “Someone’s house.” My stomach flips over. “Whose? Did they invite us in?” “No. I broke in.” “What?” I ask as panic rises up in my chest. I've never broken the law. I even returned my library books a day early just in case. “That’s not…what kind of priest are you?” He lifts and drops one shoulder. “The desperate kind. Now come on-” he claps his hands together once -“up, up, up. Shower, shoes, breakfast. Let’s goooo.”

But Lucas, as if consumed by rage, grabbed her hair and slammed her onto the glass coffee table. The sharp sound of shattering glass, accompanied by Lilith’s scream, echoed through the room. Shards of glass flew everywhere, cutting into Lilith’s face. Blood gushed out, staining her clothes red. Her brother rushed forward to save her, only to be met with a brutal punch to the temple from Lucas. He groaned, fell to the ground, twitched a few times, and then laid still. That punch took his life instantly. Lucas stood in the wreckage of the living room, letting out low, chilling growls.

With a sharp pair of shears, the intruder made a clean, microscopic slice through the inner tension straps, ensuring the brace would offer zero structural support the moment Adrian took a heavy hit. The locker door clicked shut. As the silent figure disappears back into the dark corridor, the camera pans over Adrian's compromised gear, leaving him completely defenseless on the eve of the biggest match of his life.

“Break it down.” Ben stepped forward, sizing up the heavy door. He took a deep breath and then slammed his shoulder against it with all his strength. The first hit barely made a dent, but he didn’t give up. Again and again, he threw himself at the door until finally, with a deafening crack, it gave way. The sight that greeted us made my stomach drop.

Sebastian heard some muffling sound from the last room of the hallway. He banged on the door several times but didn't get any response. So he decided to break the door. With that, he kicked open the door. As soon as the broken door collapsed on the tiled floor, he stepped inside.

I knew I was about to break the rules, but this was a matter of life and death. After ensuring the coast was clear, I stepped out of my car and approached the door, ducking under the banner. The broken lock hinted at a forced entry, sending a shiver down my spine. I tried to imagine the events that had unfolded, but my mind couldn't prepare me for the reality that awaited me behind the door.

"Anna, I'm so sorry. I don't know how to even tell you this." My heart sinks. "What is it? What happened?" Her voice cracks as she says, "I went to your house to get your things, like you asked." "Anna, your house…….it’s been broken into. Everything is gone." The ground seems to have been lifted off of me. I can hardly form words as my breath tightness in my throat. "What? No... no, How come? That can't be correct, no... no. Are you certain?"

Also locked. I rubbed my face, thinking. Julianna had called me from somewhere. There had to be a phone inside. Trying not to think about the fact I was breaking and entering, I backed up a few steps and then rammed my shoulder into the back door. Hurt like a motherfucker. I might’ve dislocated it. What was worse, the door didn’t even budge. Wincing, I eased off my jacket and wrapped it around my fist before going with option two and breaking out the glass.

But it was still very early in the morning, so I hoped that they were just inside, sleeping. Alexander didn’t knock. I gasped as he strode directly up to the front window next to the door and slammed his fist right through it. Glass shattered everywhere, immediately bringing with it the sound of my father’s home alarm system. “Alexander!” I gasped, watching as he reached through the broken window and unlocked the door from the other side. “Since when did you become the type to break into houses?”

When I heard Christy scream, I immediately walk into the house to see what caused her to scream and I was surprised at what I saw, everything was trashed and a lot of things were broken, the couch was turned upside down, plates, glasses, and tv were all broken, it was all wrecked. From the look of things someone broke into the house and I wonder how it was possible with the security watching the house. I was confused because the keys were with Christy, she was the one who opened the door and someone broke in just to ruin everything. How did they get in, who would do something as terrible as this?
