I scoff. I try several times to fit my key into the lock, but finally, I find success! As I walk in, I toss the flowers and my purse over onto the kitchenette and kick my shoes off, one of them hitting the window with a thud. I burst out in a fit of laughter when I realise I almost broke my own window with my shoe. Last thing I need is the cops called on me. Is breaking and exiting a crime? As I start to undress I hear Ily meowing and can feel her pawing at my leg.

It was a familiar notification letting me know someone entered a recognized code to enter the front door. I opened the notification to see it was Danica's code. She was home early, and a smile touched my lips. My girl likes to party, just not with those people.

I explained. “I’m so confused.” I looked away. “I kind of broke into his house.” Her brows shot up. “You did what?” “I was worried,” I defended. “You broke into his house? Since when did you become a felon?” I shrugged a shoulder. “His gate was locked. I figured he was holed up inside. I really wanted to see him. I wanted to make sure he was okay.” “How did you get in if the gate was locked?” “I used the beach stairs and found a kitchen window unlocked.”

My legs gave out and I sank to the floor. Great…I broke my bond…I broke a man’s face… I broke my friendship with Ivy… and I broke Nathan’s trust…all in one night. That's has to be a record.

But when I answered, her voice was frantic. “Liam—you need to come home. Now.” “What is it?” I snapped. There was a pause, then her voice cracked. “Someone broke into the penthouse.” My heart stilled. This night had just taken a darker turn.

I hissed. He didn't answer me. "There must be CCTVs and security guards. I bet we're going to get caught if we break in." I added. He didn't answer again. "Hey, are you even listening to me? Like hello? I can't get caught. Like ever." I spat. "You won't." He finally spoke. "No breaking and entering. It's a felony. We're going to go against the law here." He chuckles. "Who said about breaking in? We're going through the front door. We're just entering. Now that's not breaking in."

My head started to ache from all the possibilities running wild in my head. "Madam," my Spanish maid Sophia called me out, running toward me and saying, "Madam, he has come." She said while panting. "Sir is home." In a second I was up and running towards the door. When I reached the door, it burst open and entered a very drunk Adam, who was supported by John. Seeing the scenario in front of me, I didn't know either to be happy that he was home or to be worried because he was drunk, because Adam never gets drunk on weekdays, especially this drunk that he can't even walk straight.
