Erasing the Luna
The word entered her like a key turning inside a lock.
“Buried,” she repeated.
“A broken bond bleeds differently. It weakens steadily. It leaves emptiness, fever, and sometimes madness if the severing is violent. This is not that. Your bond is still alive, but it is forced beneath layers of interference. When Maddox comes close, the bond reaches him. When he rejects you, denies you, or moves too far away, it twists against whatever is holding it down.”
Rhea swallowed. “That is why it hurts.”
