The Beast Within Chapter 1 Novels & Stories

I left my office and walked into the living room, hoping the movement would settle the uneasiness building inside me, It didn't. My wolf was pacing restlessly inside me, refusing to settle. “Can we go out and bring her ourselves?” my wolf asked. I stopped walking. “You know that’s impossible. How can you suggest that?” I said. The idea was absurd, I couldn't simply leave the palace and go searching for a woman in the middle of the day. The curse prevented me from stepping into sunlight, and there were limits to what I could even do. But my wolf didn't care about any of that, he wanted her.

Leave me, it will be better. - No! - Tristan reached out to the girl, but she recoiled from his hand. The sky began to darken. Tantario jumped up and looked around tensely. He felt the approach of the beast - the one who took possession of the body of his beloved, and now intends to devour her soul. The wind increased, howling over the rock. The girl got up and walked away. The darkness thickened in front of her, turning into a huge, terrible creature, whose body was covered with slimy black and scarlet scales. Flapping its holey wings, the beast waited for the girl to climb onto its back. Ira pressed herself against the disgusting neck. Tristan watched in horror as the oily liquid swallowed

My body seizes as I try to mutter the word Help, but darkness swallows me whole. *** I’m at the borders, near the woods. Again. Heavy footsteps pound against the earth. Someone’s running, fast, chased. Cassie. It’s Cassie. Her blonde hair streams behind her, her face twisted in terror. She glances over her shoulder and screams almost like a banshee. A beast. Right behind her. My body shudders violently, every nerve screaming. I try to call her name, but no sound leaves my lips. The beast lunges, claws slashing through the air. They catch Cassie’s shoulder, tearing deep. Blood gushes across her back. She cries out, stumbling forward, blood blooming across her back.

Only the taste of blood, the burn of claws, the moment I fell into the snow with wounds I knew I wouldn’t heal from. I should have died then. I wanted to. But I didn’t. Because that night, under a blood moon, the temple’s curse activated. And the white wolf within me—**the part they feared, the part they wanted to sacrifice—**awoke. --- The next memory was smoke. Ash. I stood in the ruins of my family’s estate, bodies around me, the snow stained black and red. I wasn’t bleeding anymore. But I wasn’t whole either. I was changed.

My eyes instantly opened when my legs were easily grabbed. The beast pulled me to its side like I was nothing, it showed its full dominance by the loud sneer that was making me want to submit. I knew I wasn't strong enough to fight or escape it, but that didn't mean I was going to willingly do what the beast wanted, at least at that minute. I wasn't going to submit no matter what. "Let me go, what do you want from me!" I screamed on top of my voice. It growled again and this time it pushed me to a rock where I hit my head.

I call his name out loud my lifeless orbs adhered to the ceiling. "Phobos." "Phobos." Evil selfish male. My first kiss, the first time I was held by a male, the first time I felt the flesh of a male beneath my trembling fingertips. He stole all my firsts and faded without a mark neglecting me to be gut-wrenchingly haunted. ~~~ A/N Hello, my little wolves, It truly is a bitter chappy, little by little you shall understand her character. came the reply. I looked at him and tried giving a fake smile, but it did not work. He looked at me and walked a little closer and I jumped out of the bed and ran to the corner of the room. He gave a strange look and stood where he was and told me, “You have not yet seen the worst of this Beast”. He stated that and left I breathed out slowly and tried to calm myself down I don’t understand this man one time he has this strange aggression in his eyes and the very next moment he is all calm like a bright shining morning.

Jaskier stood, trying to block my entrance. “I have come to see the beast.” I replied him. I missed him, so much. And I regretted making him so angry the other day. “I know, but you can’t go in now. There’s a wild fire!” he answered. “W-What do you mean?” “His father--” “Let me see for myself.” I muttered, pushing him out of my way. The minute I entered the room, I gasped as the beast went flying opposite direction, hitting the wall.
