Tears streamed down her face, a torrent of pain and despair that she couldn't contain. She trembled, her entire being shattering under the weight of his cruel words. It was as if the very foundation of her world had been ripped apart, leaving her gasping for air, unable to process the brutal truth that had just been laid bare.

Heartbreak was poetic. Whoever said this was a total loon and had never took a journey of ugly pain. Heartbreak wasn't poetic. You couldn't write words on it or even think of the rhyming words because all your mind could see was the intense pain swirling in your fragile heart. It wasn't about being awake late, thinking how to express your pain in words or music. No, it was being enclosed within four walls, and having that ugly cry, and blaming yourself where you went wrong. It was having fun with your friends and then out of nowhere feeling this ache in your heart and loosing interest.

And now he's gone, leaving me alone and broken. I sink to the ground, unable to stand. Tears stream down my face, blurring my vision. I clutch my chest, trying to ease the ache. But it's useless. Nothing can fill the void he has left in me. Nothing can make me whole again. I'm shattered, like a glass vase that has fallen from a great height. I can't be fixed, I can't be saved. I'm doomed to live in this misery, this emptiness, this darkness.

Heartbreak. It comes in many forms. Sometimes at the loss of your mother or sometimes breaking up with your lover. Some would cry all night but would wipe the tears the next morning and start fresh but sometimes they would just let the pain dwell deep within the heart. Days passed into months but the pain would still be there. Raw and potent.
