She's about to apologize when she sees it's Cole, her ex. "Hey," Cole smiles sadly.

Brooke was the first one to see me and she quickly pulled Marshall away. They were both shirtless, Brooke in just her bra and cheer skirt. “Marshall.” My voice came out in a broken whisper as I stared trying to comprehend what I was looking at. Marshall spun around quickly and his eyes widened in shock. “Mia, babe!” Tears immediately form at my eyes. “How could you?” I scream. Marshall looked at Brooke then back at me seeming at a loss for words. Brooke reached for her top not looking even the slightest bit apologetic as she threw it over her head.

Lily said with a small smirk. Brooke placed her hands on her hips and nodded. Her arm that Rogue had recently healed and she was grateful that she no longer had to wear the cast. "I am, when it comes to family. And you're going to be a damn good auntie to my child. I won't take no for an answer." Lily smiled slightly. "They're coming," she said suddenly, hearing movement in the woods. "Oh gosh," Brooke whispered and her eyes darted back and forth through the trees. She gasped when she saw him. He looked tensed, prepared, ready for a fight. She barely even glanced at Greyson who was beside him.

It all fits too well. Like Gunner said, Brook is a tiny woman. She’s barely five foot two, so for her to be able to take out a six-foot guy, she had to bring him down to her first, weaken him, then kill him. I don’t turn immediately. I just stare ahead for a second before looking back at Killian, my focus shifting. “Any updates?” I ask. Killian and Jack shake their heads almost in unison. “No new movement on her accounts,” Killian says. “We haven’t picked up any deposits close to the amount she withdrew.”

“Take these things back with you. I am all alone in this clinic and I have no appetite to eat anything.” Brooke walks out to the parking lot with her pride feeling very hurt. But she has much bigger things to worry about than her bad mood. If Howard Pierce opens his eyes and talks to the Alpha, her whole life will be completely ruined. She gets into her black car and hits the buttons on her phone to call the bad rogue wolf she paid for the crash. “You promised me there would be no loose ends at all!” Brooke screams into the phone. “Now the doctors say there is a chance his wolf might wake up!”

Brooke was becoming his drug. Even Brooke was distracted by the thought of performing for Dan with her date for tonight, Rich, a college junior who she met during her college orientation. She contemplated what to wear and changed her mind several times before settling on a very short jean skirt, a simple sleeveless, almost sheer white blouse that would show off her low cut white lace bra which came with a matching white lace thong. She also brought a package of accessories with her. When Dan opened the door at 8 PM, Brooke greeted him with a brief kiss on the lips. She informed Dan, "I invited a friend over at about 9:00 if that's OK."

I lower the ceramic chalice, my head shaking in absolute astonishment. "Mistress Pierce, did your youth also major in the creation of ceremonial armor and garments?" A female possessing such jaw-dropping, elite beauty should have occupied the status of a prime campus mate choice. Why did my memory fail to retain her profile? Brooke lets out another soft laugh. "Our hands joined forces to execute the exact same design tournament, remember? Though my name across that past winter cycle was registered as Brooke Lawson. Do the data blocks return to your mind?

Belle nodded. Brooke had her MacBook pro out in a second, cool dark eyes staring down at its screen, her face a clean professional mask as always. “I can get a superb wedding gift specialist scheduled to have an appointment with you later today or tomorrow, depending on when and how you would like to be in contact with them.”

Drake POV “That’s okay, I’m not going anywhere, we have time to figure things out. I just want you to give me a chance, Kate,” I had said. I wanted to beg for that chance. Seeing her again and seeing her when she went down on that stage, almost killed me. Seeing her handle herself with such grace last night throughout the challenges she had faced was incredible to watch. I couldn’t have been prouder of her.

“…this out.” Now Mia was pissed. “What the hell do you mean by that?!” “Come on Mia,” Brook said while rolling her eyes. “You can’t approach Annie and Trish looking like that. You need a complete restyle before they even consider letting you into their fold.” “I thought you said I was valuable to them,” Mia shot. Brook chuckled. “Of course. But they are still shallow enough not to be seen with you looking like that.” Mia couldn’t quite believe how astonishingly rude Brook was being. This girl had all the makings of a Savannah. Did she even realise that?
